Responsibilities
  • Understand user behavior
Map key journeys (onboarding → activation → habitual use). Quantify drop-offs and identify behaviors linked to long-term engagement using funnels, cohorts, and retention analyses.

  • Drive product growth
Quantify and forecast the impact of product changes on activation, engagement, and retention using funnels/cohorts; provide evidence and confidence ranges to inform prioritization.

  • Measure impact of changes
Help design and analyze A/B tests with product and engineering; define primary and guardrail metrics; share results and next steps in plain language.

  • Make analytics usable across teams
Publish decision-ready dashboards and short write-ups that answer: what changed, why, what to do next. Keep metric definitions consistent and documented; contribute to model development so trusted data is easy to reuse.

  • Support customer-facing reporting
Help define and maintain usage metrics for school/district admins (embedded or in-product), with reliability checks and clear definitions.

  • Run clean intake for ad-hoc requests
Triage by impact/effort/urgency/data-readiness; set acceptance criteria and timelines; ship the smallest useful artifact first; templatize common asks.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years in analytics with examples where your work impacted product decisions.

  • Product analytics tools & methods: Experience with event-based analysis (funnels, cohorts, retention) and a product analytics platform (Amplitude/Mixpanel/Heap).

  • Data & BI: Strong SQL in a modern cloud warehouse (e.g., BigQuery/Redshift/Snowflake); comfortable building clear, decision-oriented dashboards (Metabase/Looker/Mode/Hex).

  • Model contributions: Familiar with dbt, Airflow/Prefect, or similar tools; able to navigate projects, run/debug jobs, and contribute small/medium changes (models, tests, docs)

  • Experimentation: Practical A/B testing—defining success and guardrails, interpreting results responsibly.

  • Collaboration & communication: Able to scope ambiguous asks, align on definitions, and communicate trade-offs and recommendations.

  • Plus a 401k match & monthly wellness stipend

Our Values:

  • Educators are Magic:  Educators are the most important ingredient in the educational process - they are the magic, not the AI. Trust them, empower them, and put them at the center of leading change in service of students and families.

  • Joy and Magic: Bring joy and magic into every learning experience - push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI.

  • Community:  Foster community that supports one another during a time of rapid technological change. Listen to them and serve their needs.

  • Innovation:  The education system is outdated and in need of innovation and change - AI is an opportunity to bring equity, access, and serve the individual needs of students better than we ever have before.

  • Responsibility: Put responsibility and safety at the forefront of the technological change that AI is bringing to education.

  • Diversity: Diversity of thought, perspectives, and backgrounds helps us serve the wide audience of educators and students around the world.

  • Excellence:  Educators and students deserve the best - and we strive for the highest quality in everything we do.
