The Role: 

We are seeking a proactive and engaging Customer Success Engineer to drive user onboarding, product adoption, and long-term success for AFT’s suite of software (Fathom, Arrow, Impulse, and xStream). This role bridges the gap between product capability and customer value realization through effective training programs and strategic customer enablement. You will design and deliver high-impact training, build scalable resources, and work closely with customers to ensure they achieve meaningful outcomes. Your work should help lead to improved customer retention, loyalty, and satisfaction. This role will work closely with sales, marketing, product management, and the support team. This role will likely start with a heavy focus on training, and will pivot into a more balanced trainer/customer success role over time. 

Responsibilities: 

Customer Training 

  • Lead training sessions for customers, in person in Colorado Springs and Houston, virtually, and at customer sites  
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including presentations, hands-on exercises, and video tutorials. 
  • Expand training strategies, including industry-specific courses and short-form content. 
  • Own and manage the LMS (Learning Management System) training project for AFT. 
  • Conduct webinars for customers and contribute to blogs. 
  • Review marketing materials, including email blasts and newsletters, to ensure technical accuracy. 
  • Work with sales team to proactively build training pipeline 

Customer Success 

  • Proactively engage and build relationships with customers to understand their business needs and ensure they are fully leveraging our products. 
  • Conduct lunch and learns, onboarding sessions, and discussions with customers to enable effective product adoption. 
  • Partner with account managers to identify upsell and cross sell opportunities through demonstrated product value and understanding of customers business. 
  • Serve as voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for needs of the customer and driving initiatives to improve customer satisfaction. 
  • Monitor key customer health metrics. 

*This role would require travel potentially up to 50-60% to visit customers for trainings, lunch and learns, and quarterly business reviews. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support or customer success role  
  • Experience training customers on technical products. 
  • Proven history of guiding customers to understand and increase use of simulation products 
  • Expert level skills using AFT tools to approach industrial modeling challenges. 
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 
  • Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving targets and goals. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer support. 
  • Initiative-taking and able to work autonomously. 
  • Knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce, etc)
