As a Senior Accountant, you will be a cornerstone of our Accounting Team, taking full ownership of critical accounting areas and ensuring the precision of our financial data. This role is designed for a high-performing professional who thrives on the "why" behind the numbers -
someone who isn't just looking to complete a checklist, but who proactively identifies discrepancies and drives them to resolution.
Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, you will manage complex account reconciliations and serve as the primary owner for specific General Ledger (GL) areas. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of independence, using your analytical skills to investigate variances and improve the integrity of our scaling financial environment.

What You’ll Do
- GL Ownership & Reconciliations: Take full end-to-end ownership of assigned GL accounts. Perform complex monthly reconciliations, ensuring that all balances are fully supported, documented, and compliant with GAAP.
- Root Cause Analysis & Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies within the general ledger. You will take full ownership of investigating accounting anomalies, collaborating across departments to gather necessary data, and implementing permanent solutions to ensure financial integrity.
- Variance Analysis: Lead the period-over-period variance analysis for your assigned areas. You won't just report that a number has changed; you will provide the "story" behind the fluctuations to provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Month-End Execution: Drive a timely and accurate month-end close by preparing sophisticated journal entries and maintaining rigorous workpapers.
- Audit Readiness & Support: Facilitate a smooth audit process by preparing detailed schedules and workpapers for assigned areas. Provide the technical documentation and clear explanations for accounting treatments required by leadership to address external audit inquiries.
- Process Improvement: Constantly evaluate existing workflows. If you see a manual process that can be automated or a recurring error, you are expected to propose and help implement a more efficient "future state."
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in a Corporate Accounting or Audit role. We are looking for a high-performing Staff Accountant ready for the next step or an established Senior Accountant seeking a high-ownership environment.
- Technical Skills: Proven ability to manage a high volume of complex reconciliations and a deep understanding of the relationship between the Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
- Systems: Proficiency in NetSuite (or similar Tier-1 ERP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated success in reconstructing account balances and improving data integrity within under-documented areas. You are driven by a need for precision and will dig into the details to resolve long-standing discrepancies..
- Communication: Ability to explain complex accounting movements to non-finance partners clearly and professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification: Active CPA License or CPA candidate.
- Public Accounting: Experience in Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting is highly
preferred.
- Systems: Experience with Coupa, Ramp, or similar fintech stacks.
- Location: Based in the Atlanta area or within the Eastern Time Zone.
