Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.

About This Role:

Denver Headquarters (fully onsite): 255 Fillmore Street Denver, CO 80206

The Senior Contracts Specialist will own the procurement and contracting for Crusoe’s large equipment, utilities, and power-generation needs, as well as other major procurement agreements that support data center builds. This is a high-volume, high-impact role requiring strong prioritization and the ability to manage multiple long-turnaround contracts simultaneously. You'll lead commercial negotiations, draft and review complex contract language (AIA agreements, Master Service Agreements, and Master Capital Equipment / Procurement Agreements), and collaborate closely with internal business partners and Legal to finalize and execute agreements. The ideal candidate has practical experience with contract lifecycle tools (Ironclad or similar), a strong commercial mindset, and familiarity with data center, utility, construction, or engineering services procurement. This position offers significant cross-functional exposure and the opportunity to shape procurement processes as Crusoe scales.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Contract Negotiation & Drafting: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts for major capital equipment, utilities, and power-generation assets and services.

  • Legal & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, projects, finance, and legal to define commercial terms, payment milestones, warranties, SLAs, and risk allocation.

  • Contract Management & Execution: Lead negotiations and manage the execution of various agreements, including MSAs, AIA agreements, and master procurement agreements. You'll also coordinate legal review cycles and prepare final contract packages.

  • Process Improvement & Standardization: Create and maintain negotiation playbooks to accelerate turnaround times. You will also identify and implement process improvements to streamline contracting workflows.

  • Risk Assessment & Reporting: Assess commercial risks and recommend mitigations. You’ll also produce regular reports on contract KPIs and perform data analysis using tools like Excel or Google Sheets.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Experience & Education: 5+ years of hands-on commercial contracting or procurement experience. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

  • Contracting Expertise: Experience negotiating commercial terms and managing large, complex agreements, such as MSAs and AIA agreements.

  • Industry Knowledge: A background in data center, utilities, power generation, construction, or similar industries is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with contract lifecycle management systems (Ironclad experience is highly desirable) and strong Microsoft Office skills (including Excel) for tracking and reporting.

  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Excellent command of contract language, commercial risk assessment, and negotiation strategy. You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interface at all levels of the organization.

  • Work Environment: This role is based in Denver CO, and requires you to be in the office five days a week. You must also be able to manage a high volume of contracts and prioritize competing deadlines.

Bonus Points:

  • A legal background (JD, paralegal) is a strong plus.

  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment where you successfully managed multiple long-turnaround contracts simultaneously.

  • A proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline contracting workflows.
