Job Overview: The Senior Contracts Manager plays a key role in leading the legal team’s efforts to provide exceptional service and ensure operational compliance. This role works with stakeholders across the organization, customers, contractors, suppliers and external entities of all types (including governmental entities and non-profits).
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Guide and support teams across the organization to review, draft, revise, negotiate and finalize agreements for internal/external customers and organizations (public, private, and governmental entities)
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contracting and other matters are compliant with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, procedures and goals
- Process review existing templates, refinement and documentation, including creation and maintenance of company playbook
- Support the review and response for RFPs and contracts
- Drive the continued development, improvement, training and implementation of scalable processes across the organization
- Provide stakeholders with deal analysis and visibility into contract complexity
- Advise sales on deal structures, pricing strategies, commercial terms, and approvals
- Partner with Sales to ensure opportunities are properly created and tracked in HubSpot, including stage, probability, booking amount, and various other required fields
- Craft intelligent deal structures that increase revenue while mitigating contractual risks
- Partner with Sales to craft contractual language to ensure transactions comply with revenue recognition and business operational policies
- Monitor deal progress and support Sales with closing bookings
Qualifications:
- 10+ experience in related field preferred or equivalent work experience (preferably in the tech environment)
- SaaS, cloud computing, enterprise software, data privacy, e-commerce experience
- Experience with legal support related to web-based technology platforms (technology agreements, social services, healthcare, and government entities helpful)
- Successful customer-facing and other external-facing negotiation experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to triage, prioritize and manage competing priorities with a high volume of tasks
- Proficiency with Apple, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe, and various e-signing systems
- Familiarity and experience using contract management and task management applications
- Strong technical skills using JIRA, HubSpot
