Who we are:

Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find, fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. NodeZero has been adopted by organizations of all sizes, from small educational institutions to government agencies and Global 100 enterprises. It is used by IT Ops/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs.

We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers & operators, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We're committed to helping solve our common security problems: ineffective security tools and false positives, resulting in alert fatigue, blind spots, "checkbox” security culture, cybersecurity skills shortage, and the long lead time and expense of hiring outside consultants. Collectively, we are a team of learn it alls, committed to a culture of respect, collaboration, ownership, and results.

What You’ll Do:

Horizon3.ai is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team and help build a world-class data ecosystem that enables smarter decision making across the organization.

As a BI Developer on the BI team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the company—including Product, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering—to design and maintain robust, scalable data warehouse infrastructure. You will ensure that high-quality data is readily accessible to power dashboards, analyses, and advanced analytics efforts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the company's data assets within the data warehouse, serving as a subject matter expert for data availability, lineage, and quality.

  • Own and maintain Tableau/BI Tooling data sources (scheduling, permissions, refreshes, etc).

  • Develop and maintain standard suite of self-service Tableau dashboards, ensuring their availability and accuracy

  • Build trust in the data by ensuring accuracy and availability. Monitoring, alerting and addressing data anomalies are some of your top priorities.

  • Regular engagement with Eng and Product teams to better understand platform and product changes that will impact the DWH and organizational business needs.

  • Engagement with owners/stakeholders for applications with bi-directional relationship to DWH to ensure data accuracy and availability.

  • Maintain clear documentation (ERD, Data Dictionary) and promote data warehousing best practices across the team.

  • Utilize software engineering best practices such as version control via Git, CI/CD, and release management.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)

  • Experience engaging with ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, AWS DMS)

  • Experience using Tableau or other BI tooling to build comprehensive dashboards

  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and data architecture best practices

  • Strong understanding of data quality, data governance, and security principles

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Agile mindset with ability to iterate quickly and adapt to changing business priorities

  • Self-starter who takes ownership and drives initiatives to completion

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field

  • Hands-on experience designing and building scalable data pipelines and data models

  • Experience working in fast-paced environments and collaborating across multiple business functions

  • Nice to have: Proficiency in programming languages used for data engineering (e.g., Python, Scala)

Preferred Education/Experience
  • Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD for data pipelines
