Job Duties and Responsibilities
Senior living is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the United States. With over 28,900 assisted living communities nationwide and the 65+ population growing faster than any other age group, the demand for modern telecommunications, broadband, and resident technology infrastructure inside these communities is surging right now — and projected to accelerate sharply through 2030 and beyond. For DISH Business, already one of the nation’s largest providers of entertainment, broadband, and technology solutions to commercial properties, the opportunity is massive and largely untapped. We are looking for a seasoned business development professional who already has deep relationships at the corporate and executive level with leading senior living brands, REITs, and ownership groups — someone who can walk through doors on day one and immediately generate pipelines.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives):
- Represent the company at senior living industry conferences, including Argentum, LeadingAge, and regional state associations, to capture qualified leads and conduct sales blitzes
- Build direct relationships with executive directors, regional operations leaders, and community owners to identify telecommunications, broadband, and resident technology needs
- Design post-event outreach sequences and leverage generative AI tools to accelerate lead nurturing, automate follow-up correspondence, and improve response rates
- Maintain accurate CRM records across all account touchpoints and opportunity stages to support regional revenue forecasting and departmental OKRs
- Coordinate targeting tactics with dealer partner leadership to drive sales volume and fulfill regional performance metrics
- Gather competitive intelligence on senior living community technology standards, regional vendor pricing, and regulatory shifts to refine territory sales strategy
- Leverage existing corporate-level relationships with senior living brands and ownership groups to generate immediate pipeline activity and shorten time-to-first-meeting across target accounts
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring):
- Critical experience in B2B sales, account acquisition, or commercial business development within vendor-facing or facility-based service environments
- Proven ability to negotiate commercial agreements and deliver professional presentations to community executive directors and senior leadership
- AI literacy and application skills to automate administrative reporting, draft structured prospect communications, and analyze pipeline metrics
- Strategic planning and analytical decision-making capabilities to prioritize high-value regional accounts and manage multi-state travel schedules
- Extensive knowledge of the senior living marketplace, including national brand landscapes, ownership group structures, REIT portfolios, management company hierarchies, and facility-level procurement models
- Proven, pre-existing relationships at the C-suite and VP level within major senior living brands, REITs, and national ownership groups, with the ability to open doors and secure executive-level meetings from day one
- Comprehensive understanding of telecommunications, managed broadband, and entertainment technology solutions as they apply to senior living and long-term care environments
Additional Qualifications:
- Significant experience in senior living technology, resident entertainment services, telecommunications infrastructure, or healthcare vendor operations with a focus on enterprise and multi-site deploymentsEstablished professional network within senior housing trade associations (Argentum, LeadingAge, NIC, ASHA) and active relationships with senior living industry consultants, technology advisors, and procurement influencers
- Deep background in commercial telecommunications, managed broadband, and satellite/cable entertainment sales with an understanding of how these services integrate into senior living community operations
- Demonstrated, verifiable relationships at the corporate level with leading senior living brands and ownership groups (e.g., Brookdale, Five Star, Sunrise, LCS, Capital Senior Living, Sabra Health Care REIT, or comparable organizations) with a successful track record of closing enterprise-level agreements
Minimum Requirements:
