The Impact You Will Have
As a Senior BI Analyst, you will partner with product teams and business stakeholders to deliver trusted analytics and reporting solutions in Power BI. This role is responsible for gathering requirements, translating business needs into scalable reporting solutions, and developing high-quality semantic models, dashboards, and reports that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Working closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and the Enterprise Business Intelligence team, you will help ensure reporting solutions are accurate, scalable, well-governed, and aligned with business priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across business and product teams.
- Translate business needs into detailed reporting requirements, data definitions, and technical specifications.
- Serve as a liaison between business users, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and BI teams to ensure alignment throughout solution delivery.
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, and related reporting solutions.
- Develop scalable data models, measures, hierarchies, and governance-ready reporting definitions.
- Create intuitive dashboards and reporting experiences that support business decision-making and user adoption.
- Support deployment, publishing, permissions management, refresh schedules, and release coordination for Power BI solutions.
- Maintain documentation for reporting solutions, data definitions, and business logic.
- Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and standups.
- Gather user feedback and support ongoing enhancements and continuous improvement of reporting solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or business analysis roles.
- Experience gathering and documenting requirements for business intelligence or reporting initiatives.
- Strong experience working with enterprise data platforms and OLAP databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar technologies.
- Experience developing Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and enterprise reporting solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies including SSRS, SSAS, or semantic-model-based BI architectures preferred.
- Commercial real estate or financial services industry experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong proficiency with Power BI, including semantic models, report development, publishing workflows, and dashboard design.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills, including dimensional modeling concepts such as star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
- Understanding of ETL processes, data transformation techniques, and enterprise reporting best practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and related collaboration tools preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
- Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
This position has an estimated base salary of $140,000 - $160,000 plus a discretionary bonus. An employment offer is based on the applicant’s relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
