The Opportunity: Sr. Software Engineer - Line of Credit (Thrive) platform
Join our high-caliber Line of Credit (Thrive) engineering team as a Senior Backend Engineer. You’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our Line of Credit platform, launching new financial products, and optimizing existing ones. Reporting to the Engineering Manager of the team, you’ll collaborate with other senior/staff engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver features that directly impact the company’s #2 revenue driver.
Tilt is a remote-first company. We drive connectivity through regular company offsites. Travel for company offsites is expected at a minimum 2 times a year.
How you’ll make an impact
Architect, build, and enhance backend services powering the Thrive Line of Credit and future products.
Expand the platform to support multiple financial products and underlying instruments.
Strengthen fraud detection and prevention systems.
Deliver customer-facing features and internal tools to ensure reliability, performance, and scale.
Collaborate with product, credit/finance, compliance, support, and analytics teams.
Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and roadmap planning.
Drive continuous improvement in code quality, security, and operational excellence.
Why you’re a great fit
Strong software engineering fundamentals and coding skills.
Experience building and maintaining distributed systems or data-intensive applications.
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern backend frameworks.
Proven track record shipping features for consumer-facing products.
Ability to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Self-sufficiency in managing tasks and sharing progress.

Previous fintech or credit/lending platform experience.
