At dentsu, we help leading brands build visibility across a search landscape that is rapidly evolving. We’re looking for a Senior Associate, SEO to support a complex, enterprise‑level client and drive performance across both traditional search and emerging AI‑powered discovery experiences.
This role is ideal for someone with foundation in SEO who is ready to independently own day‑to‑day workstreams and is energized by an emerging, fast‑changing search landscape. You’re curious by nature, eager to test new ideas, and motivated to help shape how brands show up across AI‑powered discovery experiences. You’ll work across technical SEO, content optimization, performance, and reporting, partnering closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to improve discoverability in both search engines and generative environments.
Responsibilities:
Own day‑to‑day execution of SEO workstreams for a large, enterprise‑level client, ensuring work is high‑quality, on time, and aligned to business goals
Execute technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, page speed, structured data) and translate findings into prioritized, actionable recommendations
Conduct keyword and prompt research, competitive analysis, content evaluations, and gap assessments to inform optimization priorities and content strategy
Develop and maintain on‑page optimization recommendations for traditional search and AI‑driven discovery (metadata, heading structure, internal linking, schema, content formatting)
Support SEO initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve content structure, factual clarity, authority signals, and citation readiness in generative search experiences
Analyze organic search, turning data and technical findings into clear insights and recommended actions
Partner cross‑functionally with content, analytics, development, media, and account leadership to drive implementation and progress
Support site migrations, redesigns, CMS updates, template changes, and new page launches
Develop client‑ready reporting, POVs, and presentations that clearly communicate performance, opportunities, and next steps
Proactively identify new AI discovery opportunities, testing ideas and challenging assumptions as platforms and behaviors evolve
Skills & Experience:
2+ years of SEO experience, ideally in an agency or enterprise environment
Strong understanding of technical SEO, on‑page optimization, search intent, and performance analysis
Experience working on large or complex websites with multiple stakeholders, templates, or content types
Ability to independently manage day‑to‑day workstreams while contributing to broader strategic initiatives
Confidence presenting findings and recommendations to internal teams and client stakeholders
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and structured data
Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Adobe Analytics, Screaming Frog, BrightEdge, Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar
Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills
High levels of accountability, autonomy, and follow‑through
Mindset & Growth Orientation
Creative and curious, with a strong interest in how emerging AI systems surface and cite information
Hungry to learn and grow, eager to stretch beyond assigned tasks and take ownership of testing and improvement
Comfortable operating in ambiguity as best practices continue to evolve
Motivated to innovate and push boundaries while balancing performance, data, and client goals
Actively engaged in the industry, tracking platform changes and contributing informed points of view
What Success Looks Like
You independently manage SEO workstreams with strong attention to quality, timing, and impact
You deliver thoughtful, actionable recommendations grounded in data and business priorities
