Job Description:
In this position as a Federal Financial Analyst, you will support federal financial reporting, accounting operations, and audit readiness activities for a federal client environment. This role will focus on compiling and analyzing financial statements, performing USSGL analysis, supporting audit activities, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting deliverables. In this position, you will also:
- Perform accounting, fund accounting, and financial analysis activities to support the compilation and publication of federal financial statements.
- Analyze accounting data from source documents and federal financial management systems to identify discrepancies, trends, and reporting issues.
- Review Journal Vouchers, identify accounting errors, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support financial audit activities by preparing audit documentation, responding to audit requests, and assisting with remediation and prevention of audit findings.
- Assist with reconciliations, GTAS reporting, and monthly and year-end financial reporting activities.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal accounting standards, Treasury guidance, and reporting requirements.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of federal financial accounting experience supporting federal agencies or federal government clients.
- 1+ year of experience compiling and analyzing federal government financial statements, including proprietary and budgetary USSGL analysis.
- 1+ year of experience analyzing complex accounting and financial data within a federal financial management environment.
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting federal financial audits, audit remediation efforts, and audit readiness activities.
- Experience working with Oracle Federal Financials, UFMS, or similar federal financial management systems.
- Experience supporting Treasury reporting, GTAS submissions, and federal financial statement quality control processes.
- CPA, CGFM, or CDFM certification is desired, but not required.
At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
