Job Description:
In this position as a Federal Financial Analyst, you will provide strategic financial modeling, budget analysis, cost estimation, and data analytics to support long-range planning and executive decision-making. In this position, you will also:
- Develop multi-year strategic budget models and scenario-based forecasts
- Conduct indirect cost analysis and reimbursement modeling
- Support financial reporting, variance analysis, and executive-level dashboards
- Provide financial data and analysis to internal and external stakeholders (DFAS, OSD, OMB)
- Support automation initiatives, including development of the Automation Impact Report
- Apply data analytics and modeling techniques to identify financial trends and risks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate financial insights into actionable planning decisions
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2 years of DoD/DoW financial management experience.
- 1 year of experience working with federal budgeting, cost modeling, and long-range financial planning.
Desired Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data modeling.
- Experience preparing financial reports and variance analyses.
- Ability to leverage AI/ML tools for financial trend analysis.
- Experience with Advana, Google Workspace analytics tools, and DoW-approved AI platforms.
- Familiarity with indirect cost methodologies and reimbursement models.
At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
