What You’ll Do
We seek a strategy professional who has a creative, analytical mindset, wants to take on challenging projects, and enjoys working autonomously. The right candidate will seek to creatively apply their quantitative and problem-solving capabilities to a wide range of applications across Ascent’s business. You will be working on mission-critical projects to support Ascent’s growth trajectory, working alongside Ascent’s leadership team and all of Ascent’s operating segments.
The Senior Associate, Corporate Strategy reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Strategy. The position may either work remotely or under a hybrid schedule based out of one of Ascent’s US-based office locations. Travel to Ascent’s corporate headquarters in Belleville, Michigan, will be required periodically (up to 50% of time).
Key responsibilities of the Senior Associate, Corporate Strategy are as follows:
- Lead cross-functional teams in growth projects and cost-saving initiatives, helping to execute Ascent’s value creation plan
- Analyze KPIs and financial data to develop actionable insights and support execution of identified actions within the business
- Support Ascent’s customer base on key projects, continuous improvement initiatives, reporting, and strategic positioning
- Build financial and operating models for a wide range of applications in support of Ascent’s growth initiatives, operational management, and pricing strategies
- Perform creative analysis to underwrite investment projects, enable strategic decision-making, strengthen customer relationships, and continually improve Ascent’s business practices
- Support Ascent’s corporate development efforts and M&A strategy
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or similar degree
- 4+ years of work experience in private equity, investment banking, and/or management consulting
- Strong modeling capabilities
- Working knowledge of financial statement concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
