Summary: 
 

The Senior Analyst builds and maintains data models, reporting, and analytics products, turning business stakeholder needs into governed, well-documented solutions. Working under the direction of the Reporting, Analytics & AI Lead, the role sits at the intersection of business analysis and data engineering: capturing and documenting business requirements and technical specifications, building semantic and dimensional data models, and delivering a trusted consumption layer through Power BI and AI-driven interfaces (e.g. Claude). The role also delivers analytical products to the business to improve efficiency and business performance.

A key focus is using AI/LLM’s to help deliver the data, models and analytics — from requirements captured through to report and product delivery — so the team can produce and maintain more products with less manual effort.

The role works closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams, contributing to working groups and forums, building relationships across the business, and applying the data governance, privacy, and quality standards set by the Reporting, Analytics & AI Lead, in the UK.

This role will be hybrid requiring a minimum of 3 days in office.

Requirements:   
 

• Works with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, clarify, and document business requirements and use cases; contributes to working groups and forums and helps prepare materials for them.
• Translates documented business requirements into technical specifications for modelling, reporting, and AI-enabled analytics products, with review and sign-off from the Reporting, Analytics & AI Lead.
• Builds and maintains governed semantic and dimensional data models using Microsoft Azure/Fabric, applying and helping refine agreed business metric and KPI definitions.
• Delivers the consumption layer for these models in Microsoft Azure Fabric — Power BI reporting, BI solutions and self-service analytics, and AI-driven interfaces (e.g. Claude) for business users to query and interact with data.
• Applies agreed data classification, access controls, and privacy standards across all models and outputs.
• Uses AI tools (including LLMs/generative AI) to help deliver analytics — e.g. accelerating requirements documentation, model/report build, testing, and maintenance — so products can be built and updated with minimal manual rework.
• Builds automation workflows (e.g. Power Platform, Power Automate, Dataverse, or equivalent) to reduce manual effort in both business processes and the team's own delivery work.
• Delivers analytics on cleansed, governed, validated data through the data platform, and contributes ideas and prototypes for new products that improve efficiency, performance, and decision making across RES.
• Tests and validates outputs for accuracy and appropriateness before release, supports UAT and business validation of delivered products, and explains outcomes to non-technical audiences in plain language.
• Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field required.
• 7 years or more experience delivering data models, reporting, and analytical products that are used by the business required.
• 5 years or more experience working with business stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver quality data products required.
• 2 years or more experience using AI tools to support analytics work required.
• Experience in construction reporting/analytics and US compliance preferred.
• Ability to travel 5-15%
• Stakeholder engagement — experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders, running or supporting workshops, and managing competing priorities with support.
• Business analysis — ability to turn business needs into clear, testable technical specifications.
• Semantic and dimensional data modelling — solid hands-on modelling skills, plus SQL and Python for analysis and automation.
• Microsoft Azure/Fabric and Power BI — experience working across the path from raw data to governed models to reporting/consumption.
• Delivering reporting and analytics using data and AI/ML tools.
• Automation tooling — Power Platform, Power Automate, Dataverse (or equivalent) to reduce manual effort in delivery.
• Practical, applied use of generative AI/LLM tools for analytics work (e.g. accelerating documentation, model or report generation).
• Awareness of data privacy, sensitivity, and responsible AI/data-use principles.
• Willingness to work across multiple business domains (e.g. finance, operations, commercial, engineering).
• Data science/ML exposure is desirable.

Anticipated base salary range:  $94,300- $117,900

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
