Pay Range
$92,900.00-$127,700.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
This position provides financial leadership to the R&D and Engineering teams with day-to-day support for all financial operations including purchasing, payables, cost center accounting and capital project financial management. The Senior Accounting Analyst (R&D and Engineering) is responsible for providing critical analysis for purposes of developing the annual operating plan (AOP), monitoring and performing accounting functions for the monthly financial close, preparation and submission of the monthly forecasts, analyzing expenditures on capital projects and timely close out of capital expenditures for JM's Technical Center (JMTC).

Your Day-to-Day:
- Function as the lead Finance partner to the R&D and Engineering leadership teams.
- Ensure accurate monthly closing of cost center expenses and reporting of financial results to the VP of R&D, VP of Engineering, and the FP&A Manager.
- Lead the monthly forecasting processes for SG&A expenses (R&D and Engineering) and capital expenditures (JMTC facility).
- Lead the development and completion of the annual operating plan (AOP) for the R&D and Engineering groups in collaboration with R&D and Engineering Senior Leadership.
- Provide financial evaluation for proposed capital expenditures at the JMTC facility and provide oversight of JMTC fixed assets.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and complete assigned general ledger account reconciliations.
- Support ongoing compliance with JM’s internal control policies.
- Serve as a backup to Corporate FP&A for portions of the monthly reporting.
- Special projects as required.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance / accounting role.
- Solid SAP or similar ERP systems knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Solid planning, analysis, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with capital expenditure procedures.
- Strong decision-making and problem resolution skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and in team environments while being effective interfacing across all levels of the organization with the ability to influence others.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Minimal travel required (0-10 days per year).
- The work environment is typical of an office setting. This position is based in Littleton, Colorado at the JMTC facility with occasional days at the company’s headquarters in downtown Denver. This position is eligible for a flexible work arrangement in which, by way of example, an employee's work week may include both some days at the employee's assigned company work location, and some workdays performed remotely from the employee's home. The schedule of remote work will be based on business and work needs as determined by management.
