As Senior Accountant at CoinTracker, you'll be a cornerstone of our Finance team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting as we scale our platform that helps millions of users navigate the complex world of cryptocurrency taxes. You'll own critical accounting processes across our diverse business model (B2B SaaS and B2C subscription), drive our month-end close, and build the scalable financial infrastructure that enables our leadership team to make confident decisions.

Your one-year outcomesReduce month-end close timeline to 5 business days with all key reports delivered on schedule.
Successfully implement and document end-to-end ASC 606 revenue recognition processes for both B2B and B2C revenue streams with zero material audit findings.
Establish and maintain streamlined processes for AP, AR, payroll reconciliation, and corporate spend management with 99%+ accuracy rates.
Build comprehensive documentation and controls for all owned accounting processes, enabling audit readiness and team scalability.
Own and execute the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and management reporting.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and corporate spend reconciliations across the organization.
Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles to our B2B and B2C revenue streams, ensuring compliant and accurate revenue reporting.
Support FP&A initiatives by providing accurate actuals, variance analysis, and financial insights.
Partner with People Operations on payroll processing and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for external audits and drive continuous improvements in our control environment.
Build and document scalable accounting processes and procedures as the company grows.

Role-specific
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong technical foundation.
Prior public accounting/audit experience, preferably from a Big 4 firm.
CPA certification (active license preferred).
Multi-tasking excellence: Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent work streams (AP, AR, revenue recognition, payroll, expense management, close processes) without sacrificing quality.
Revenue recognition expertise: Hands-on experience with ASC 606, ideally across both B2B and B2C business models.
Process-oriented mindset: Track record of building efficient, well-documented accounting processes and driving operational improvements.
Startup experience (nice to have): Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where you need to figure things out and build from scratch.
The starting salary for this position is between $110,000 - $140,000 USD. Candidate's location does not impact the posted salary range. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of job-related factors including relevant skills, education, and experience. This position also includes equity in CoinTracker and benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO.
