The Role

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive (Mid-Market) to join our high-performing sales team. In this role, you will focus on acquiring new business and expanding relationships within our Mid-Market segment. With a minimum of 5 years of SaaS technical sales experience, you bring a proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles, identify customer needs, and deliver value-driven solutions.  

As a Senior Account Executive, you will manage the full sales cycle, from generating leads to closing deals, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer success. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to the ongoing success of Nylas.  

What You’ll Do:  

  • Own and manage multiple sales opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to close.  
  • Qualify inbound leads, leveraging research and discovery to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.  
  • Proactively prospect and generate new outbound leads to sustain a healthy pipeline of opportunities.  
  • Conduct product demonstrations tailored to the needs of prospective customers.  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Account Management, and Sales Engineering teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.  
  • Consistently deliver accurate sales forecasts and achieve an average sales cycle of 90 days.  
  • Maintain a focus on achieving and exceeding revenue targets while building long-term relationships with customers.  

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, with a proven track record of successfully closing new business and upselling existing customers.  
  • Performance: Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed an annual quota of $500,000 or more.  
  • Sales Expertise: Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles, with strong skills in outbound prospecting and customer engagement.  
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with SaaS and the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.  
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.  
  • Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset with experience working cross-functionally to achieve shared objectives. 
  • Drive: A self-starter with a passion for sales, a growth mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Interview Process

  • Round 1: 60 minute Google Meet discussion with the hiring manager.
  • Round 2: 60 minute Google Meet presentation or technical assessment.
  • Round 3: 45 minute Google Meet discussion with the department head.
  • Round 4: Three (3) Google Meet discussions with various Nylas leaders (max 3 hours).

During the various discussions, candidates selected to meet with us are strongly encouraged to not only discuss their knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities but also to showcase examples of their current or previous work. We expect you to clearly outline the "what," "why," and "how" behind your contributions.

The estimated OTE salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications, which are objectively assessed during the interview process. Factors influencing salary include knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities.
