Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Cyber Security Operations Engineer will work closely with architecture, engineering, and development teams across all of Information Technology and Cybersecurity to provide automation capabilities that allow the Information Security Organization to make data-based decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze reports based on anomalies
- Getting familiar with data and adding observative remarks in reports in business familiar language to communicate effectively with team members, and management
- Add intelligence to data by using tools like SIEM, Threat Intel, etc.
- Understand the Security reports and be responsible for the presented data
- Use development skills to create architecture processes, data analytics, automation of process and enhancements to our Threat Intelligence infrastructure
- Approach tasks with flexibility and proactively coordinate with the team for end-to-end report delivery on time
- Analyze security and business data to help identify security optimizations, efficiencies, and capabilities to help make decisions for the security organization
- To keep up to date with security trends, threats, and control measures
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, related discipline, or commensurate industry experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, concepts, and technologies
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security frameworks
- Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and authentication mechanisms
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
- Knowledge of Python development
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a strong passion for cyber security
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus
- Prior experience in a related role or internship is preferred but not mandatory
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,400.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
