The Ferguson Technology job family acquires, designs, implements, and operates the organization’s technology resources, including hardware, operating systems, applications, data, communications, and security. This role sits within the Enterprise Solutions organization, supporting the Own Brand Technology group, and serves as a Scrum Master with embedded delivery governance responsibilities - partnering with Agile teams to deliver high quality software in a controlled and predictable manner.
The main focus of this position is enabling Agile execution by coaching teams on Scrum practices, facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In addition, the role supports essential release and change coordination activities to ensure software changes are introduced safely, reliably, and in alignment with enterprise delivery standards. Through close partnership with Product Owners, Service Owners, development teams, and delivery stakeholders, this role helps teams remain focused, aligned, and effective while balancing Agile delivery with necessary governance.
Responsibilities:
Scrum Master & Agile Delivery Responsibilities (Primary: ~70%)
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Own Brand Agile teams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Coach teams, Product Owners, and business customers on Agile and Scrum best practices, fostering self-organization and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Product Owners to promote backlog readiness, prioritization, and delivery alignment.
- Identify, escalate, and remove impediments and blockers impacting team progress.
- Encourage sustainable delivery practices, predictable velocity, and healthy team dynamics.
- Leverage metrics, insights, and retrospectives to improve delivery effectiveness and transparency.
- Lead and facilitate meetings and working sessions to drive focus, alignment, and outcomes.
- Act as a servant leader, empowering teams and modeling Agile values.
Functional Delivery & Release Coordination Responsibilities (Secondary: ~30%)
- Support release planning, coordination, and production cutover activities in alignment with enterprise change and release processes.
- Assist with defining and managing release readiness, turning points, and success criteria based on business needs.
- Ensure SDLC, configuration, and organizational change procedures are followed across environments.
- Coordinate deployment readiness activities including smoke testing and documentation handoff to Service Delivery.
- Collaborate with the Environment Manager to ensure appropriate software, data, and technical components are available in each environment.
- Maintain insight into changes across environments to minimize conflicts and delivery risk.
- Support configuration and release governance activities, including artifact management and CMDB updates.
- Find opportunities for automation, CI/CD improvements, and ongoing delivery optimization.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in a Scrum Master, Agile delivery, or IT project delivery role.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks, with hands-on experience supporting Agile teams.
- Working knowledge of SDLC and software delivery across multiple environments.
- Familiarity with release, configuration, and change management practices.
- Experience working in complex, multi-system environments with structured governance.
- General familiarity with Oracle environments (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and system dependencies preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in an information technology–related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Agile and traditional delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
- Strong proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and collaboration tools; experience with MS Office, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Proven ability to lead through influence and facilitate multi-functional groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to support occasional non-standard hours or on-call activities related to releases.

$6,805.95 - $11,921.25-
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
