Every well we complete, every joint venture partner we bill, and every capital dollar we invest flows through the systems you'll own.

As our Systems Analyst for SAP, you'll do more than support software—you'll help shape how our Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams work every day. During SM’s journey from ECC to S/4HANA, you would be a key contributor in the future state design. By partnering with accountants, project managers, engineers, business leaders, and IT professionals, you'll design solutions that improve financial accuracy, strengthen data quality, and enable smarter, faster decision-making.

A unique aspect of this role is where it sits: at the crossroads of Oil & Gas finance, Joint Venture Accounting, and capital project execution. You'll gain firsthand insight into how our business creates value, understand the challenges our teams face from AFE to partner billing to month-end close, and identify the opportunities where technology can make the greatest impact.

This is an opportunity to own and evolve the SAP applications that power critical upstream financial processes. From driving automation and analytics to implementing new capabilities and improving business processes, your work will have a direct impact on how accurately and efficiently we manage our assets and our partnerships.

If you thrive on solving complex business challenges, enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, and are passionate about using technology to create meaningful business value, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
