The Salesforce CPQ Contractor will improve and update existing CPQ configurations, conduct requirements gathering, modify quote processes, and deliver comprehensive documentation.
Cumulus Vision is seeking a skilled and experienced Salesforce CPQ Contractor to enhance and update an existing Salesforce CPQ Quote configuration for one of our clients, specifically focusing on the quote process. This project requires a hands-on individual who can quickly assess our client's current setup, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions. You will work directly with our team and our client to optimize their CPQ Quote processes and ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis and Requirements Gathering:
- Assess the current quote-specific setup, including price rules, calculations, validation rules, approval processes, and custom fields related to quoting.
- Conduct meetings with stakeholders to confirm required updates, expected outcomes, and any specific rules impacting quote generation.
- Clearly outline necessary modifications, including price rule adjustments, validation rule updates, template changes, and approval process refinements.
- Identify any gaps between the existing quoting logic and the required enhancements, recommending solutions to bridge these gaps.
- Quote Process Updates:
- Modify or create new price rules related to quote-level calculations (e.g., margin calculations, dynamic adjustments).
- Create or update custom fields to store calculated values or additional required information for the quote.
- Implement or refine validation rules to ensure accurate quote generation and prevent user errors.
- Modify approval workflows if required, ensuring alignment with new quoting logic.
- Update quote document templates to reflect pricing, formatting, and display changes.
- Deliverables:
- Detailed documentation of the existing quote-related CPQ configuration.
- Comprehensive requirements document outlining necessary updates.
- Scope document defining specific modifications.
- Gap analysis report with proposed solutions.
- Proven experience enhancing and updating existing Salesforce CPQ implementations, particularly focusing on Quote processes.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce CPQ functionalities and best practices, specifically related to price rules, calculations, validation rules, approval processes, and quote templates.
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and its capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to perform gap analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conducting requirements gathering meetings.
- Must be able to work 10-20 hours per week.
- Must be a North American resident, US resident preferred.
- Must have a history of direct contracts.
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification is required.
Pay based on experience, $50-$75/hour
