Location: Remote (U.S.)
Reports to: VP of Product and Engineering
Compensation: Starting at $130,000+, commensurate with experience
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Administrator with strong technical depth and a clear trajectory into Salesforce development. This role is ideal for someone operating at a senior administrative level who is either already proficient in development or actively growing into that capability.
This is not a junior or maintenance-only role. You will help design, build, and scale a Salesforce system that is central to how a complex, multi-entity business operates. The platform will support parent companies, multiple brands, hundreds (or thousands) of locations, shared marketing structures, and evolving ownership models.
You will partner closely with the COO—an avid Salesforce user with a strong operational mindset—to build a clean, intuitive, and highly functional Salesforce environment. The goal is a system that is used daily, trusted by the business, and designed to scale.
The role will begin with an approximate 70% Salesforce Administration / 30% Development and advanced automation split, evolving over time toward a 50/50 balance as the platform and technical needs grow.
Experience in franchising or multi-location businesses is a strong plus, but not required. What matters most is your ability to design systems that handle complex relationships, scale, and real operational use.
In addition, the right candidate will embody our company values:
WE LOVE NEW IDEAS - Curiosity is in our DNA
WE ARE IN IT TOGETHER - Be a person people count on
WE ARE PROBLEM SOLVERS - Thinking critically to bring solutions to the table
WE DO THE RIGHT THING - Make choices everyone can stand behind
What You’ll Own
- Salesforce architecture, configuration, and long-term scalability
- Data models supporting parent companies, brands, locations, and shared entities
- Workflow automation that supports real-world operational complexity
- Data quality, reporting accuracy, and governance
- Integration touchpoints with finance, payments, and other core systems
Core Responsibilities
Salesforce Administration & Architecture
- Own day-to-day Salesforce administration across Sales, Operations, and Client Services
- Design and maintain custom objects, fields, and relationships to support:
- Parent → Brand → Location hierarchies
- Many-to-many relationships (e.g., locations, co-ops, ownership)
- Manage users, roles, profiles, and permission sets
- Build and maintain Lightning record pages, page layouts, and validation rules
- Establish and enforce data standards, governance, and documentation
- Manage sandboxes, testing, and release processes
Automation & Development
- Design and build advanced Salesforce Flows (record-triggered, scheduled, and screen flows)
- Implement approval workflows tied to budgets, thresholds, and multi-level governance
- Develop Apex as needed for complex logic or integrations
- Continuously evaluate and improve automation to reduce manual work
- Evolve toward increased development ownership over time
Reporting & Insights
- Build dashboards and reports that support leadership and operational teams
- Enable clean reporting across complex hierarchies and shared entities
- Partner with leadership to surface meaningful, actionable insights
- Ensure reporting accuracy as data volume and complexity grow
Integrations & Systems
- Support and improve integrations with accounting and finance systems (e.g., Sage Intacct)
- Help plan and implement future payment integrations (e.g., Stripe or similar)
- Define clear system boundaries and sources of truth
- Troubleshoot data sync and workflow issues across systems
- Document integration architecture and dependencies
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Product teams
- Translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions
- Act as a trusted partner to leadership—balancing flexibility with long-term system health
What Success Looks Like
- Salesforce is intuitive, trusted, and actively used
- Complex relationships are clearly modeled and easy to report on
- Teams move faster with fewer manual processes
- Integrations are stable and well-governed
- The platform scales without becoming brittle or overbuilt
Required Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience
- Advanced experience with:
- Lightning Experience
- Salesforce Flow
- Custom objects and complex data models
- Strong understanding of operational workflows and governance
- Experience supporting a growing or complex organization
Preferred Experience
- Salesforce development experience (Apex)
- Experience with franchising, multi-location, or platform-based businesses
- Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP or finance systems
- Salesforce certifications (Admin, Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder, Developer)
- Experience partnering directly with senior leadership
How You Work
- Systems-minded and detail-oriented
- Comfortable owning architectural decisions and tradeoffs
- Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Practical and thoughtful—you value usability and scalability
- Energized by building systems that people actually use
Why This Role
Salesforce is a core operating system for the business. This role directly impacts how a complex, multi-entity organization sells, operates, and scales. You’ll have real ownership, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to build a platform designed to support long-term growth—not just short-term fixes.
