The Product Operations Manager - Monetization is a strategic individual contributor role responsible for enabling effective governance and execution of the product lifecycle across the product portfolio, especially in supporting monetization strategy. The role focuses on supporting key activities throughout the product development lifecycle ensuring that monetization considerations are integrated early into new product initiatives, driving alignment and informed decision-making. The position requires strong program management skills, business acumen, and a solid understanding of SaaS business models and cost structures. The ideal candidate thrives on cross-functional collaboration, analytics, and turning data into actionable insights that improve product profitability and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Facilitate the integration of monetization considerations into early-stage product planning, including defining use cases, competitive differentiation, and market positioning.
Govern the process for defining and validating pricing and packaging strategies, ensuring alignment with overall product goals and market dynamics.
Coordinate the gathering of key inputs, including COGS assumptions, market research, and competitive pricing benchmarks, ensuring they are readily available and utilized in the product design phase.
Establish frameworks, tools, and review cadences that improve visibility and alignment around cost insights across Product, Engineering, and Finance, ensuring that teams have the necessary information to make informed decisions.
Define and track key success metrics for monetization initiatives, ensuring that data is collected and analysed to inform future strategies.
Curate summaries and dashboards that track readiness and decision progress at each stage of the product lifecycle, providing leadership with visibility into key milestones and dependencies.
Identify friction points in lifecycle and planning processes and implement practical improvements, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency.
Requirements
6+ years of experience in SaaS program management, consulting, finance, or related roles.
Strong understanding of SaaS business models, monetization frameworks, and product lifecycle management.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional programs and influence without authority.
Hands-on expertise in financial modelling, data analysis, and market research.
Experience building frameworks or tools that improve pricing and packaging decision-making.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to distil complex inputs into clear recommendations for executives and stakeholders.
Education: BA/BS in business, finance, or technical field required; MBA or consulting background a plus.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$141,400 - $202,000 - $262,600Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
