About the Role:
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales strategy, execution, and management of the firm's private equity software and data offerings in your assigned territory. You will work closely with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities, manage relationships with potential investors, and ensure the achievement of sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of private markets, working in the context of software and data solutions, exceptional client facing skills, and a proven ability to build and manage client relationships.
In this role, you will:
- Manage an assigned sales
territory (e.g. based on geography and client types) to generate new sales
pipeline opportunities
- Generate sufficient pipeline
and convert qualified leads into closed business to consistently achieve
and ideally exceed revenue quota.
- Work with Marketing to build
target lists and develop outreach strategies to build pipeline, optimize
lead generation and efficiently hand-off into your pipeline
- Monitor and respond to
fitting RFPs, ensuring the best chance of being shortlisted
- Gain knowledge of CEPRES
solutions and learn how to position in the market to get buy-in from
prospects
- Deliver tailored
presentations and initial demonstrations of CEPRES solutions, showcasing
how our software and data solve client challenges and convince of the
value proposition
- Work with pre-sales solution
consultants to develop tailored pitches, demonstrations and proof of
concept trials that convince prospects to engage and close new business
- Nurture a full pipeline of
business, spending time with prospects throughout multiple stages of the
sales funnel leading to executed contracts
- Partner with marketing,
customer success and product to ensure client and prospect feedback is
systematically captured
- Effectively use CRM to track
pipeline and support sales reporting as well as other technology to
enhance effectiveness
- Contribute to sales thought
leadership to share best practices and enhance the overall capability of
the company
- Other tasks related to sales success as agreed with
senior management
Requirements
- 5+
years of experience in sales or business development in financial services in
the context of software and data solutions, or 5+ years in a client-facing role in the context of software and data solutions for private markets and a keen desire
to work in sales.
- Strong
experience and understanding of private markets in the context of software and
data solutions.
- Proficient
in modern technology, including MSOffice, CRM software and AI solutions such as
ChatGPT.
- Experience
working with a modern revenue technology stack - sales automation and
engagement, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, among others
- Experience
presenting to an analyst or Chief Investment Officer and other stakeholders
across procurement and IT, etc.
- Excellent
communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Degree
in Business, Finance, Technology or a related experience.
