Sales Director

Latitude is an early-stage payments fintech building modern infrastructure for global money movement. We help businesses move value instantly, securely, and with full compliance, leveraging local payment rails and blockchain settlement while delivering a seamless, enterprise-grade experience.

Our team has built and scaled payments and financial infrastructure at Uber, Coinbase, Stripe, Amazon, and Facebook, bringing deep experience across fintech, marketplaces, and global-scale systems. In January 2025, we raised an $8M seed round led by NEA, with participation from Lightspeed Faction, Coinbase Ventures, Paxos, Bitso, Solana Ventures, and others.

We're looking for a Sales Director: a senior, well-connected hunter who can open doors, run a technical sale end-to-end, and close new business.

Location: NY

The Role

To date, the founders have led sales, but from here, you’ll lead with their support. You'll own new business: sourcing, qualifying, building the technical case, negotiating, and closing.

There is no SDR team; you will be responsible for building the pipeline and writing the playbook as you go.

Our buyers are technical. On a first call, you may be talking to a founder, a CTO, or a payments lead who wants to understand our funds flow in a specific corridor and which entity is the transmitter of record. You should be able to hold that conversation credibly on your own and pull in engineering for depth vs initial scoping.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Own new business. Source, qualify, and close. Carry a number against a pipeline you built yourself.

  • Sell to technical buyers. Speak fluently about APIs, settlement timing, corridor coverage, FX pricing, and compliance requirements. Know when the honest answer is that we don't support something yet.

  • Work your network. Our best pipeline comes from relationships. You should arrive with real ones across fintech, marketplaces, and crypto, and be willing to use them in week one.

  • Shape the commercial motion. Pricing, terms, ICP, and what a repeatable deal actually looks like. You'll be building the motion while you're running it.

  • Drive Product Feedback. What you hear in deals should shape roadmap, corridor prioritization, and partner strategy. You'll have a direct line to the people who can act on it.

  • Represent Latitude externally. Conferences, panels, and partner meetings. You'll often be the first person a prospect meets.

What We're Looking ForRequired
  • 8+ years in enterprise or platform sales, with a documented record of closing new logos, not managing renewals, and not managing a team.

  • Domain expertise in a few of our core areas: cross-border payments, crypto on/off ramps or infra, FX, domestic payment rails, and card issuing/acquiring.

  • Technical fluency. You can run a technical discovery call without an engineer in the room and are leveraging the latest AI tools to supplement your sales process.

  • A real network. Relationships you can activate among fintechs, neobanks, marketplaces, PSPs, remittance companies, and crypto platforms.

  • Hunter mentality. You're energized by developing a pipeline and a lack of support functions.

  • Gravitas. You can hold a room with a founder or a CFO and be taken seriously: strategic in the meeting, not just personable.

  • Startup Experience. You've sold somewhere small and fast, where the collateral you needed didn't exist yet.

  • Strong writing. Proposals, follow-ups, and deal memos that build the buyer's internal case.

Preferred
  • Experience selling global products

  • One of the first sales hires at an early-stage company

  • Experience selling licensed or regulated infrastructure, where compliance is part of the pitch

  • Existing relationships in crypto, fintech, PEO and payroll platforms, marketplaces, and remittance providers.

  • Disciplined with CRM hygiene and modern sales tooling

Why Latitude?
  • Rare leverage. Early hires at companies like this are rare. You'll own your function from day one, with direct access to the founders and no layer between you and the decisions.

  • Infrastructure that matters. We're taking on a massive market with real traction behind us, building the rails that make global payments faster and more accessible. And you'll do it alongside a team that has already built this category of system at Stripe, Coinbase, Uber, and other great companies.

Benefits

At Latitude, we believe success starts with our people: healthy, inspired, and empowered to thrive both in and outside of work. We offer:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance with generous company contributions

  • Meaningful early-stage equity and a 401(k)

  • Unlimited PTO and 10 paid federal holidays

  • Flexible remote work within the United States

Latitude is an equal opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive workplace. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
