The Sales Development Manager is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Sales Development team in Denver, CO. This leader is accountable for achieving weekly, monthly, and annual goals. They provide training and coaching to Sales Development Representatives while ensuring collaboration with the sales development leadership team. This role would be responsible for overseeing an SDR team in Denver, with some remote SDRs in Toronto and Grand Rapids, MI.  

 

Here’s what this position is all about: 

  • Track and analyze metrics to ensure that department goals are being met, including meetings set, meetings held, and pipeline goals. 
  • Drive improvements in the prospecting and outreach processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team.
  • Create an environment that promotes the Service Express culture; mentor and coach individual Sales Development Representatives to reinforce the skills, knowledge and attitude required to achieve exceptional results. 
  • Train and Develop: Drive the onboarding process for all new Sales Development Representatives to ensure they are using tools and systems properly; lead and/or co-lead trainings such as objections, sales process, and professional development; evaluate processes and training routinely to ensure they meet the current needs of the team. Provide solutions and improve processes when identified. 
  • Oversee the partnership between Senior Account Executives and Sales Development Representatives to ensure collaborative relationship to set the stage for a successful business meeting and offer the customer a seamless experience. Encourage engagement in discussions on best practices in a market and execution of various campaign strategies. 
  • Identify and evaluate new approaches for overcoming objections and converting prospects to ensure individuals are utilizing effective methods. 
  • Coach through the documentation process of sales activity and associated outcomes to track success from initiation to completion.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Team to ensure adequate staffing. Analyze staffing levels, project hiring needs, and conduct candidate interviews. 

What we are hoping you can bring to the role:

  • Experience in a business, sales or marketing related position preferred 
  • Experience and ability to successfully lead and develop a team 
  • Proven track record of being inquisitive and championing change as well as initiating ongoing improvements 
  • Effective communication and follow through, strong organizational skills, and dedication to attention to detail 
  • In-Office Expectations: 3 days in office per week (T, W, Th) with potential to increase to 5 days 
  • Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Orum power dialer, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator 
  • Travel: 1 trip per quarter to Grand Rapids, 1-2 trips to Toronto while they support those SDRs
