We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Revenue Accounting Manager with a strong background in revenue accounting to join our growing finance team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606), and the preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of revenue and month end close processes, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous process improvement. An ideal candidate will have a desire to own the revenue function and identify opportunities for improvement to effectively scale our financial operations.

**This role is fully remote within the US**

What You'll Do
  • Lead and standardize the revenue accounting process which includes customer onboarding, relationship management, contract review, invoice preparation, revenue recognition, supporting documentation and revenue related financial reporting
  • Work cross functionally with the growth, customer success and other teams to streamline billing, collection and revenue processes
  • Own calculation and payment of commissions to sales reps
  • Prepare revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606
  • Own preparation of the revenue related month-end close activities 
  • Document accounting conclusions in audit memos
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Assist in audit requests and external audit support
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automation and efficiency improvements to scale workflows and improve the full revenue cycle
  • Oversee and enhance sales tax compliance including monitoring nexus and required filings
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years focused on revenue accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
  • Expertise in billing processes, invoicing, and collections strategies
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with revenue automation tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Haves
  • CPA license
  • Strong familiarity with revenue automation tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
  • Having scaled led or played a key role in scaling the revenue function
Compensation

$120,000 - 145,000 salary + equity incentives
