The Revenue Cycle Consultant (Associate) supports DHA UBO clients through analysis of billing, patient accounting, and revenue cycle processes, including workflow assessments, data review, and process improvement assistance. This entry-level role provides exposure to Oracle Cerner/MHS GENESIS Patient Accounting (CPAM) and supports operational teams in enhancing efficiency and financial accuracy. 

This role is contingent upon the successful award of the contract. Any offer of employment is subject to contract award and funding availability.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support review and analysis of billing and patient accounting workflows.
  • Assist with identifying process inefficiencies and developing improvement recommendations.
  • Participate in data gathering, reporting, and trend analysis.
  • Support project documentation, meeting prep, and follow‑up tracking.
  • Collaborate with internal team members, client stakeholders, and partners.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of project activities and communications.
  • Adhere to project processes, timelines, and deliverable expectations.
  • Learn foundational patient accounting, billing compliance, and reimbursement concepts.

Skills & Experience: 

  • Foundational understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations.
  • Ability to analyze data, workflows, and reports related to revenue cycle functions.
  • Exposure to or interest in Oracle Cerner/MHS GENESIS CPAM or other EHR systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in team environments and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare, Business, Finance preferred).
  • 2–5 years of healthcare or consulting experience preferred (including internships).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or applicable federal background investigation

Desired Skills & Experience: 

  • Experience within the Military Health System (MHS).
  • Familiarity with DHA billing/coding policies.
  • Exposure to analytics tools such as Excel advanced functions, Power BI, or Tableau.
  •  Exposure to enterprise EHR revenue cycle modules such as Oracle/Cerner/Cerner Patient Accounting Revenue Cycle.
