Resource Scheduler

KBR is seeking a Resource Scheduler. the Resource Scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining mission operations schedules that support multiple satellite programs in a dynamic, 24/7 operational environment. This role serves as the focal point for resource planning, conflict resolution, schedule optimization, and customer coordination to ensure mission requirements are executed efficiently and without operational conflicts. The Resource Scheduler works closely with operations teams, mission partners, engineering personnel, and government customers to support real-time mission execution and future planning activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, negotiate, and maintain conflict-free operational schedules supporting multiple satellite programs with varying priorities and classification levels.
  • Receive, review, prioritize, and process user requests for support during current and future scheduling periods.
  • Analyze operational requirements, mission priorities, and resource constraints to develop executable schedules that maximize mission effectiveness and resource utilization.
  • Execute schedule re-planning activities and coordinate changes with stakeholders when mission priorities, operational constraints, or emergent events require adjustments to planned activities.
  • Coordinate with internal operations teams, mission partners, and customers to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure successful mission execution.
  • Monitor mission activities and operational status to identify potential impacts to scheduled operations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain voice, messaging, and data communications required to support mission operations and scheduling activities.
  • Generate downtime reports, schedule metrics, and other operational documentation to support mission execution and reporting requirements.
  • Support operations status meetings, engineering reviews, and problem resolution boards by providing scheduling expertise, operational assessments, and recommendations.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and opportunities to improve scheduling processes, operational workflows, and resource utilization.
  • Support contract managers in maintaining a collaborative working relationship with the prime contractor and government customer.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Colorado springs

  • Contract mission-critical operations require continuous support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365/366 days per year, including federal holidays. Employees will be assigned a stable shift schedule that may consist of day, swing, or midnight shifts based on mission requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

  • One of the following combinations of education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Space Operations, or a related technical field with 2 years of related experience required.

  • Associate's degree and 4 years of related experience in satellite operations, mission operations, resource scheduling, or a related field.

  • 6 years of related experience in satellite operations, mission operations, resource scheduling, or a related field in lieu of a degree.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Operations Controller certification

  • Experience coordinating schedules, resources, or operational activities in a mission-focused or dynamic operational environment.

  • Ability to analyze competing priorities and develop executable plans in a time-sensitive operational environment.

  • Ability to work an assigned shift schedule, which may include day, swing, or midnight shifts, as required to support mission operations.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and provide proof of citizenship.

  • Ability to maintain access to government worksites.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

  • Experience with mission planning, resource scheduling, workforce scheduling, satellite operations scheduling, or related operational planning activities.
  • Experience supporting satellite operations, ground systems operations, space domain awareness missions, or other 24/7 mission-critical operations environments.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple organizations, stakeholders, or mission partners in a time-sensitive operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing priorities and resolve complex scheduling conflicts.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, mission partners, and technical teams.
  • Experience using scheduling, planning, or mission management software tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Basic Compensation:

$80,200 - $101,000

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance
