The Department of Physics at Colorado State University has roughly 20 faculty members with research programs in atomic, molecular, and optical physics; condensed matter physics; and high-energy physics and particle astrophysics. Essential Job Duties:

  • Conduct experiments with Ba+ ion beam implanted in solid xenon and argon

  • Operate ion beam and diode or OPO laser, deposit samples, take spectra of deposited samples

Conditions of Employment:

Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires)

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in physics

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience with ion beams lasers and laser spectroscopy

Salary Range$15.16
