The Reliability Engineer will lead maintenance improvement projects, enhance equipment reliability and train staff on reliability methodologies while managing customer satisfaction and metrics.
Essencial Functions
- Develop and establish strategies and methods that improve preventive/predictive maintenance across multiple locations.
- Lead Maintenance and Operations improvement projects across multiple locations.
- Maximize clients’ equipment reliability focusing on equipment availability, equipment downtime reduction, and maintenance cost reductions.
- Use reliability processes to implement risk assessments and financial justifications to advise clients on asset management. Technical writing of PM’s, PM reviews, PM modifications, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Failure Mode and Criticality Analysis (FMCA), management of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Identify cost improvement opportunities.
- Oversee activities directly related to providing services.
- Train employees on Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Reliability technologies, Maintenance planning and CMMS systems
- Preserve MENTOR Technical Group as the preferred provider for reliability services.
Specific Duties, Activities and Resposabilities
- Establish, monitor and report metrics for customer service levels and key business indicators for the division
- Direct the training and performance evaluations of reliability, maintenance planning and CMMS staff and oversee their activities.
- Manage accounts efficiently, and accurately, providing solutions to clients, while identifying and prioritizing opportunities for project continuity and/or the creation of new accounts.
- Manage Asset Management improvement project across the division.
- Standardize Reliability Operations practices across Mentor Operations
- Monitor Customer Service Satisfaction and take steps to increase to highest level. Assure that all Human Resources and Finance matter requirements are in compliance
- Develop timely performance appraisals for direct reports.

- Models company values and ethical behavior in all relationships with internal and external customers.Formulate, direct and coordinate activities to promote products and services.
- Teach, mentor and train employees on reliability and/or maintenance activities methodologies.
- Must be a team player committed to developing and working in a quality environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by direct supervisor to support normal operations
Educational or Equivalent Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Engineering field is required, ME is preferred.
- Maintenance and Reliability Professional or Reliability Leader Certification will be highly preferred
- Vibration Analyst or Thermography Certification will be considered a plus.
- Project Management Certification will be considered a plus.
