Are you passionate about building strong agent relationships and driving sales growth in the Medicare and insurance space? We are seeking a Regional Sales Executive to support and expand our network of independent health and life insurance agents across the Western United States.
In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, educating, and supporting licensed independent agents who market Medicare, ancillary health, and life insurance products. You will serve as a trusted business partner to agents by providing training, product expertise, sales support, and consultative guidance to help them grow their businesses and better serve their clients.

The Regional Sales Executive works independently, manages a defined geographic territory, and plays a critical role in achieving sales and retention objectives while strengthening agent engagement and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop independent health and life insurance agents within an assigned territory.
  • Educate agents on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans, Ancillary Health, and Life Insurance products.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with agents through regular outreach, virtual meetings, and in-person visits.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries from agents seeking support, product information, or sales assistance.
  • Conduct outbound calls and follow-up activities based on leads and business development opportunities.
  • Support agents in identifying sales opportunities and overcoming barriers to closing business.
  • Drive territory growth through agent activation, retention, and production initiatives.
  • Arrange field representative support when additional in-market assistance is needed to help close sales opportunities.
  • Provide training on products, enrollment processes, compliance requirements, and sales best practices.
  • Monitor territory performance and develop action plans to achieve sales and renewal goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, operations, and product teams to resolve agent issues and improve outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of agent interactions, sales activity, and pipeline management within company systems.
  • Stay current on Medicare regulations, market trends, competitive offerings, and product updates.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be willing to work 9am- 5pm PST
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance sales, channel management, agent distribution, broker support, or related sales roles.
  • Experience supporting Medicare, health insurance, life insurance, or ancillary product distribution channels.
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage independent agents and broker partners.
  • Experience managing a territory and achieving sales goals.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office products, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement products.
  • Active Health and Life Insurance license or ability to obtain one upon hire.
  • Experience recruiting, onboarding, and developing independent insurance agents.
  • Knowledge of broker distribution models and channel management best practices.
  • Experience working in a remote environment and managing a large geographic territory.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
Western Territory Coverage

The selected candidate will support agents throughout the following states:

  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • California
  • Hawaii
  • Idaho
  • Nevada
  • Oregon
  • Utah
  • Washington

Preferred Location: Candidates residing in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones are strongly preferred to support business operations, agent relationships, and travel requirements throughout the Western territory.

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The range below reflects a good faith estimate of total compensation for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. This compensation package includes both base pay and targeted commission pay. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location. Actual earnings will vary based on individual performance, with the base salary and commission structure aligned with company policies and applicable pay transparency requirements.
