Job Responsibilities:
Quality Engineer wanted in Shepherdsville, Kentucky to coordinate APQP for new programs and product changes. Ensure IATF16949:2016 element compliance and serve as a representative as needed. Serve as QOS team leader or member as required. Implement corrective and preventive actions for customer, supplier, and production. Ensure that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained. Report to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement. Ensure and promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization. Serve as IATF16949:2016 lead auditor or internal auditor as required. Oversee the development of control plans and PFMEA, including receiving control plans. Comply with quality, environmental, and material management system requirements. Serve as ISO14001:2015 lead auditor and/or working group member as required. Utilize knowledge of automotive seat sewing technology, including QC101, 8D, Ishikawa 5W's methodologies for problem solving in multi-disciplinary teams; conduct sewing feasibility studies and production process analysis; develop new production methods and conduct red rabbit testing. Report all unsafe and unhealthy conditions, accidents, and injuries in a timely manner, and comply with all health, safety, and environmental standards in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter and the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Perform other duties as needed. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering and 60 months of related experience Quality Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Process Engineer. The related experience must include Utilizing knowledge of automotive seat sewing technology, including QC101, 8D, Ishikawa 5W's methodologies for problem solving in multidisciplinary teams; conducting sewing feasibility studies and production process analysis; developing new production methods and conducting red rabbit testing. 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; M-F, $111,446.00 per year.
