Mob Entertainment is a startup multimedia studio that is best known for our hit indie horror game "Poppy Playtime". This franchise is one of the hottest new properties in gaming, and our team is naturally expanding as our ambition expands. To give a taste of our brand's popularity, more than 100 billion YouTube views of Poppy Playtime related content have occurred since the game's launch 4 years ago.
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized QA Lead to help drive quality across our games and development pipelines. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day QA efforts, coordinating testing initiatives across disciplines, mentoring testers, and ensuring a polished player experience from development through release.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in game testing, leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality gameplay experiences. Experience working on console and PC titles in Unreal Engine environments is highly valued.

ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & CoordinationLead and support a team of QA testers across daily testing operations
Assign testing coverage based on project priorities, risk areas, and milestones
Mentor junior and mid-level QA team members through coaching and feedback
Help establish testing standards, workflows, and best practices
Collaborate closely with Production to maintain testing schedules and milestone readiness
Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression testing strategies
Oversee functional, gameplay, compliance, and compatibility testing efforts
Identify, document, reproduce, and prioritize bugs using tracking tools such as Jira
Ensure bugs contain clear reproduction steps, severity assessments, and supporting documentation
Validate bug fixes and monitor recurring issue trends
Partner with Designers, Engineers, Artists, and Producers to improve development quality
Participate in sprint planning, milestone reviews, and release readiness discussions
Advocate for player experience and usability across all stages of development
Communicate quality risks, blockers, and testing status clearly to stakeholders
Help improve QA workflows, reporting structures, and testing efficiency
Support implementation of automation tools and telemetry where appropriate
Assist with certification preparation and submission processes for console platforms
Contribute to postmortems and continuous improvement initiatives
4+ years of experience in game QA, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or senior capacity
Experience testing PC and Console games through multiple development cycles
Strong understanding of bug tracking systems such as Jira, TestRail, or similar tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities in fast-paced environments
Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and creative teams
Passion for games and high-quality player experiences
Experience working with Unreal Engine pipelines
Familiarity with certification requirements for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo platforms
Experience with multiplayer, live-service, or cross-platform titles
Knowledge of QA automation tools or scripting basics
Horror, action, or cinematic game development experience
Experience supporting distributed or remote development teams
High-quality builds with reduced regression issues
Clear and actionable bug reporting across teams
Efficient testing coverage during milestones and releases
Strong communication between QA and development teams
Continuous improvement of QA processes and player experience standards
