About this Role:

The Pursuit Specialist takes on independent ownership of straightforward pursuits while continuing to support more complex ones led by senior staff. This role marks the shift from operational support to applying strategy directly: writing proposal content, coordinating pursuit schedules, and making judgment calls on smaller opportunities with growing independence.

This position expands pursuit capacity by handling low to moderate complexity opportunities end-to-end, while contributing to larger, higher-complexity pursuits senior managers. The Pursuit Specialist also learns from senior staff and supports Pursuit Coordinators on shared work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead 1 to 3 low-complexity pursuits from kickoff through submission, including compliance review and schedule management.
  • Support higher-complexity pursuits led by Senior Pursuit Managers, contributing content and coordination as directed.
  • Write straightforward proposal content, including qualifications, resumes, and project descriptions, applying established win themes and messaging.
  • Conduct compliance reviews on assigned pursuits to confirm adherence to RFQ and RFP requirements.
  • Maintain Salesforce opportunity records for assigned pursuits, including stage progression and outcome documentation.
  • Update and validate resume and project data in Flowcase for assigned pursuits.
  • Coordinate logistics and prepare materials for interviews, presentations, and internal pursuit meetings on assigned work.
  • Support Pursuit Coordinators on shared pursuits, providing guidance on formatting, compliance, and content standards.
  • Provide reporting inputs and documentation support following pursuit outcomes.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in proposal writing, proposal coordination, or business development within professional services or a related industry.
  • Experience maintaining opportunity data in Salesforce or a comparable CRM system.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail with the ability to apply established messaging and win themes.
  • Familiarity with delivery of capital programs in infrastructure sectors including aviation, transit, and utilities.
  • Familiarity with Flowcase or a comparable capabilities management platform.

Working Hours

Full-time, Exempt. Standard business hours with occasional evenings and weekends during peak workloads. Hybrid or Remote role with approximately 10% travel. Candidates based in North America and within proximity to a Consertus office are preferred.
