Job Description:

The Opensity Project Manager will play a vital role in ensuring that all client implementations, transitions, and business transformation projects are successfully planned, sourced, and executed to expectations. As a Project Manager, you will have the goal of ensuring timely, on budget, and high-quality delivery of all milestone deliverables and outcomes through effectively managing scope, risk, and resources using proven and appropriate PM methodologies (PMI, Waterfall, Agile, etc.).  Successful candidates must have the team leadership and professional background in the legal and/or corporate outsourcing industry to successfully manage multiple projects and client relationships in a fast-paced environment.The Opensity Project Manager will serve as a leader in successfully managing assigned implementations through effective project management coordination and flawless delivery.  

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary liaison with key client representatives with the goal of owning the service delivery relationship;

  • Lead the delivery of complex initiatives with multiple workstreams, including creating project plans, identifying, and tracking key milestones, and communicating progress regularly to stakeholders that provides effective coordination and communication of client deliverables.

  • Effectively executes project forecasts and work schedules implemented by the Sr. Director of Solutions (SDS);

  • Ensures client and project requirements are being met with the highest quality and accuracy through verification and communicating routinely with both the client and internal partners;

  • Consistently delivers proactive communication with clients and when client issues arise addresses those issues or expeditiously escalates to the SDS;

  • Ensures that an up to date record is maintained with regard to the status of all projects being worked on;

  • Demonstrates leadership to both the client and internal partners, delivering project objectives professionally and with high quality.

  • Instills confidence with the client and serves as a primary public face of Epiq’s high-quality service delivery offering.

  • Guide and manage the project in every aspect, including the intersection of technology, processes, and change management

  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, dependencies, and resource requirements

  • Develop comprehensive project management plans that stakeholders, teams, and sponsors can follow throughout each phase of the project

  •  Negotiate and influence across cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are engaged and maintained throughout the execution of the plan

  • Work with the teams to identify and manage risks with the project and the affectively, performing risk analyses, and preparing and communicating risk mitigation strategies.

  • Continuously ensure our Customers and Stakeholders are confident about the program delivery via impactful and comprehensive communications

  •  Build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communications with internal and external stakeholders

  •  Support business development activities such as identification, proposal development, and other pursuit activities at clients

Planning and Organizing – Develops plans and goals that align with and support business strategies; translates objectives into action plans; identifies tasks critical to business success and allocates resources accordingly; effectively manages time to achieve success; handles multiple demands and competing priorities successfully; delegates appropriately.

Problem Solving – Identifies problems by detecting patterns or connections; researches and analyzes problems; determines alternative solutions and creates action steps to solve the problem; thinks and acts quickly and effectively in a variety of situations; solves the problem while maintaining a balance between the time invested, the amount of information needed and the magnitude of the problem; evaluates both the short- and long- term consequences of decisions.

Required Qualifications & Characteristics

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred but relevant professional experience in outsourcing in lieu of will be considered

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with large project, program, or portfolio management ideally with outsourced services

  • Certification in project management disciplines (PMP, Certified BA, and/or Scrum Master, etc) highly desired, or similar level of project management experience

  • Demonstration of the practical facilitation of SDLC, PMI, AGILE methodologies

  • Well established track record of producing high quality results while establishing/maintaining customer relationships at all levels.

  • Exceptional computer skills. Preferred experience in: Microsoft Suite (MS Project, PPT)

  • A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with a proven track record of driving innovation and business metrics with a customer-first mindset

  • Assertive and collaborative approach, with the ability to drive innovation and change management with virtual teams across different time zones.

  • Excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and executives to drive collaboration and alignment.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects which span Client business, operations, and IT disciplines

  • A solid understanding of the legal and professional services industry which is typically a result of at least 2 years of experience in project management positions with law firms, corporate legal departments, or other outsourcing service providers.

  • Demonstrated success in the management of multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Oral and written communication skills which provide a strong and confident leadership presence. 

  • Excellent client relationship skills which include the ability to proactively manage client expectations, recognize client needs and adapt company capabilities to consistently meet client requirements.

  • A solid understanding of database design and management, data processing activities and legal document review requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability in each of the following areas:  ensure effective control of all aspects of a project from initial planning through final production; development of project plans; balance overall client requirements; development of relationships; and review financial and billing information in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are consistently met.

  • Desired Skills:  Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt)

The Compensation range for this role is 100,000 to 122,000 USD per year and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be highly dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
