We are looking to fill a Project Manager II, Emerging Energy Technologies position as part of our Business Strategy Department. As a member of the Energy Solutions team, you will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions through our work for major North American utilities, program administrators and other national leaders in energy efficiency. Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Enabling the implementation of a suite of energy efficiency and electrification programs through launching and monitoring emerging technology projects on State-run software platforms
- Translating a variety of energy program and equipment details from nontechnical to technical audiences, and vice versa
- Ensuring alignment of implementation activities between internal technical teams and consulting stakeholders by gathering program and user requirements
- Working with internal and partner teams to develop and document project results
- Planning and monitoring timelines to complete projects on time and on budget
- Providing guidance and training to peers in different roles, and to junior team members completing similar technical support work
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree (preferably with a quantitative focus, e.g. environmental science, engineering, information systems management, or a related field)
- At least five years of relevant work experience
- Foundational knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts, including:
- System loops and thermodynamics
- Mass and energy balances
- Engineering schematics and system reference materials
- Experience contributing to technical projects, such as:
- Energy modeling
- Reporting on technical development
- Collaborating with system designers or engineers
- Supporting research or literature review efforts
- Ability to independently troubleshoot issues involving complex data or formulas
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and maintain strong personal accountability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management capabilities
Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of $79,000 to $92,000/Annually
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
