With moderate guidance, the Project Engineer performs functions to develop and implement truck mounted equipment and to provide support for an assigned line of products. Responsible for managing assigned projects and may also lead a team of one or more engineers as needed. Assigned projects will be moderate in complexity and scope. 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manage project timelines, delegate tasks, and lead project team as required.
  • Provide support and direction to project team to ensure successful completion of the assigned project and development of the team. 
  • Design, analyze, integrate, and test truck mounted equipment systems.
  • Design truck bodies and accessories from various materials.
  • Create detailed drawings for manufacturing.
  • Create simplified drawings for customer review and approval.
  • Resolve design, assembly, and manufacturing problems in a timely manner.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain operating manuals for our products.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain assembly instructions to support the Operations team.
  • Communicate effectively with sales, manufacturing, suppliers and customers. 
  • Support field network of shops by providing troubleshooting information.
  • Keep abreast of relevant safety standards and adhere to them.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering field
  • Demonstrated project management, time management, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Solidworks
  • Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, Project and Power Point

PREFERRED

  • Previous experience with welding, sheet metal forming, mobile hydraulic and/or electrical circuits
  • Previous AutoCad experience
  • Experience with Solidworks Enterprise Product Data Management
  • Project Management training or certificate program

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $67,670.00 - $98,125.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
