Responsible to lead a team of structural/mechanical engineers and designers in developing, designing, and delivering bulk material handling equipment. Direct contact with clients and vendors is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Leads a team of structural/mechanical engineers and designers to develop an innovative, high quality solution.

2. Identifies project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting organization managers.

3. Oversees project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project.

4. Assists in developing and maintaining a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project.

5. Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.

6.Reviews expenditures within limitations of project budget.

7. Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.

8. Interfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met.

9. Coordinates with vendors and other disciplines for consistency in the design. 10. Prepares technical specifications.

11. Mentors junior engineers in the business, business practices, and position requirements

Minimum Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree (Structural or Mechanical) in Engineering from a four-year college or university and five or more years related experience.

5 years minimum experience in the Bulk Material Handling Industry.

Preferred Education/Experience:

Knowledge of mining and /or bulk material handling industries

Computer Skills/Experience:

Drawing Software: 2D & 3D using AutoCad required. Other 3D design software, such as e.g. Inventor, SolidWorks, Advance Steel desired, but not essential

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Indirectly oversees employees assigned to projects in conjunction with engineering management team.

Salary from $115,000 USD
