Project Engineer I

As a Project Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within the aerospace domain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met while maintaining quality and compliance with industry standards.

You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Program Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the successful delivery of aerospace engineering projects within Engines & Power Systems that contribute to Honeywell Aerospace’s reputation as a leader in advanced aerospace technologies, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
 

-Assist in the development and management of project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion

-Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and support project requirements

-Support risk management and compliance activities to adhere to aerospace industry standards and regulations

YOU MUST HAVE
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

    • Basic understanding of project management principles and engineering processes within aerospace or related industries

    • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements applicable to engineering projects
    
WE VALUE
    • Advanced degree in Engineering or related technical field is a plus

    • Proficiency with project management tools and software, including scheduling and documentation platforms to support project tracking and communication

    • Internship or co-op experience in aerospace or high-technology industries

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

    • Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies

    • Proactive problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset

    • Systems engineering or requirements management experience

    • Self-starters able to work with little supervision and take the initiative to get things done

    • Excellent oral and written communications skills; the ability to convey complex messages clearly as appropriate for the topic and audience
