Position Summary:
The Program Mgr, Sales Training partners with the Sales Training team to onboard new hires and help them become proficient with systems and tools. This individual supports the creation of training materials, manages invitations, coordinates swag, and assists with internal sales training events such as New Hire Training (NHT), and the Global Sales Meeting (GSM), Leadership Meetings, POAs, and others as they arise. The role also helps maintain accurate records for the sales training team and keeps the internal sales intranet page up to date.
The Program Mgr, Sales Training is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of both in-person and virtual sales training events. This role works closely with the Sales Training Event Manager to assist with managing event logistics, communications, and post-event follow-up. Events include large-scale programs such as the Global Sales Meeting (GSM), as well as regional meetings, training sessions, and other events as needed. The individual is a collaborative team player with strong attention to detail and a passion for bringing fresh, creative ideas that elevate the impact and experience of each event. Flexibility and willingness to assist with a broad range of tasks are both essential.
Job Responsibilities
Approximately 50% of time support sales training
Support of incoming training requests including answering questions on training related activities.
Support the Onboarding of new Sales hires and assisting with relevant Sales applications/tools (e.g., Showpad) to lead an exceptional onboarding experience for new hires
Maintain updated training records, such as organizational charts, DiSC profiles, etc.
Oversee ongoing process improvements/adjustments needed to make the training process more efficient and effective.
Support the Sales training team with sales training materials, logistics, communications, onboarding etc
Prepare and order educational aids and materials as needed.
Maintain and update the Sales intranet homepage.
Other duties as assigned to support the sales training team.
Approximately 50% of time support events
Assist Sales Training Event manager with many aspects of the events & programs including but not limited to: managing logistics, audio visual needs, décor, catering, entertainment, transportation, invitation lists, name tags, supplies, shipping, rooming lists, speakers, processing contracts and invoices, hybrid technology, etc.
Plan and assist on-site with sales training programs and events such as but not limited to NHT, Leadership Meetings, POA, GSM, LDP, etc.
Hands-on involvement and service-minded attitude from pre-event management to post-event follow through.
Serve as a liaison between the Training team, and vendors & venues to maintain proper training /logistics for sales programs and training
Create communications as needed for events including invitations, confirmation letters, reminders, website copy, event briefs, travel logistics, conference materials, etc.
Willingness to roll up sleeves with logistics and details.
Work on projects including creating event websites, tracking attendance and generating reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
2yrs+ of experience with program manager/coordinator duties
Bring an enthusiastic, can-do attitude to a highly productive team.
Personable, have the ability to effectively communicate with clients and all staff types, and must be able to interact in a service-oriented environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills.
Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task across different projects and events in parallel.
Have the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced and sometimes pressured environment.
Have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and be a problem solver.
Ability to adapt to change in an evolving environment.
Ability to handle pressure with deadline-oriented demands.
Comfortable taking ownership of projects and working both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
Strong computer skills with an aptitude to learn new programs, tools or skills quickly.
Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, G-suites
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (some weekend travel included) and perform on site activities required.
Physical Demand and work environment
Duties are typically performed in an office setting.
This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material.
Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
