Facilities Program Manager

Location: Michigan - Remote
Travel: Up to 50%
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; weekends and evenings as needed
Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000

Position Overview

The Facilities Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing facilities management processes across multiple locations. This role combines strategic program development with hands-on project management, focusing on building efficient operations, maintaining high service standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires significant travel to support multi-site operations and ensures consistent service delivery across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Management

  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive facilities management processes and procedures
  • Develop standardized operating protocols to ensure consistency across all managed properties
  • Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practice guidelines
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure program effectiveness

Project Management

  • Lead light to medium scope facility repair and improvement projects from initiation through completion
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Conduct site assessments and develop project scopes for facility improvements

Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvements and cost optimization
  • Implement lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices
  • Analyze facility performance data to drive strategic decision-making
  • Develop and execute change management strategies for process enhancements

Training & Development

  • Design and deliver training programs for facilities management staff and stakeholders
  • Create training materials, modules, and certification programs
  • Mentor and develop local facilities teams to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Conduct regular training assessments and update curricula based on evolving needs

Multi-Site Management & Travel

  • Travel to various facilities to conduct site assessments and provide on-site support
  • Ensure consistent application of standards and processes across all locations
  • Build and maintain relationships with local teams and key stakeholders
  • Conduct regular audits and quality assurance reviews

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, project management, or related field
  • Proven experience in process development and improvement initiatives

Technical Skills

  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience in training development and delivery
  • Proficiency in facilities management software and project management tools

Estimated compensation for this position:

85,000.00 – 95,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
