Position Overview

We are seeking a Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives to provide essential program leadership and management for the Design & Manufacturing (D&M) Marketing organization. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring organizational coherence by fostering clarity, alignment, and sustained progress across marketing priorities, while overseeing strategic initiatives that intersect with Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing robust program management practices within D&M Marketing and for advancing complex, cross-functional initiatives efficiently and effectively. This role requires an individual adept at introducing structure in ambiguous environments, rapidly establishing trust, and maintaining team engagement and alignment throughout the transition from strategic planning to execution.

Responsibilities

Program Management & Operations Leadership:

  • Lead program management for the D&M Marketing organization, ensuring priorities are clearly defined, tracked, and delivered

  • Translate leadership goals into clear plans with milestones, success metrics, and measurable outcomes

  • Establish and maintain operating rhythms (planning cycles, executive reviews, progress check-ins) that promote focus, accountability, and transparency

AI‑Enabled Systems & Tools:

  • Identify, test, and scale AI‑enabled systems that improve decision-making and operational efficiency

  • Build and enhance program management tooling, including Airtable structures, automations, templates, and governance processes

Cross‑Functional Alignment & Execution:

  • Manage high‑impact initiatives across Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations

  • Drive stakeholder alignment by proactively managing risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs

  • Strengthen communication practices and workflows that support clarity, inclusion, and effective collaboration

Leadership Support & Communication:

  • Coordinate key leadership touchpoints, including QBRs, strategic planning sessions, team meetings, offsites, and organizational reviews

  • Provide leadership with consistent visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes

  • Prepare clear, concise, insight‑driven materials for senior and executive audiences

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in program management, operations, strategy, or other cross‑functional leadership roles

  • Experience leading program management within a marketing or similarly complex organization

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross‑functional initiatives in matrixed environments

  • Experience designing or implementing AI‑enabled systems that improve operational efficiency and decision‑making

  • Strong executive‑level communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights

  • Proven examples building trust through clarity, follow‑through, and sound judgment

  • Experience working in ambiguous environments and creating structure where needed

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $121,800 and $197,120. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
