Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Program Manager to lead within a newly Enterprise Transformation Office. Reporting closely to the Enterprise Transformation PMO Lead, this individual will establish governance, operating disciplines, and delivery capabilities to support M&A focused efforts across the broader organization, and lead the planning, coordination, and execution of merger, acquisition, and strategic integration initiatives that materialize during the engagement. Success requires a combination of executive-level business presence, exceptional program leadership, and strong organizational delivery. The successful candidate will own deliverables from concept through completion while leading cross-functional teams and influence executive stakeholders across the organization. The position will partner with executive leadership, functional business leaders, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial organizations, external advisors, and integration teams to successfully execute all phases of strategic business integration initiatives. Responsibilities may include due diligence coordination, governance, developing integration strategies, Day 1 readiness, supporting TSA execution, monitoring enterprise risks, and ensuring successful operational integration while building repeatable integration methodologies that strengthen the organization. This is a 9+ month remote role requiring up to 1–2 weeks of travel per month. Candidates must be able to work Central Time hours and be fully authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer. Duties & Responsibilities

·       Support the maturation of the Enterprise Transformation Office with governance, executive reporting, portfolio visibility, delivery methodologies, standards, and operating rhythms.

·       Lead enterprise mergers, acquisition, and strategic integration initiatives from due diligence through post-close stabilization and operational transition when applicable.

·       Serve as the primary program management lead for all Integration Management Office (IMO) activities while partnering with the Enterprise Transformation PMO Lead on enterprise priorities and executive governance.

·       Develop comprehensive integration strategies, execution roadmaps, governance models, workstream structures, and detailed integration plans supporting strategic transactions.

·       Coordinate cross-functional integration activities. Partner with executive leadership and functional workstream leaders to define integration objectives, establish priorities, coordinate deliverables, resolve issues, manage dependencies, and ensure organizational alignment throughout the transaction lifecycle.

·       Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestone schedules, RAID logs, dependency trackers, decision registers, and executive dashboards.

·       Create executive-quality PowerPoint presentations, Steering Committee materials, Board updates, executive readouts, integration scorecards, business cases, governance documentation, and executive communications.

·       Monitor integration budgets, schedules, scope, risks, issues, resource utilization, and cross-functional dependencies while identifying mitigation strategies.

·       Coordinate enterprise change management activities supporting organizational transitions, executive communications, stakeholder engagement, employee readiness, and training.

·       Develop repeatable integration playbooks, governance templates, standard operating procedures, lessons learned, documentation, and knowledge transfer materials.

·       Balance strategic leadership with detailed execution while personally owning high-quality deliverables without dedicated project coordination or administrative support.


Requirements

Qualifications

·       8+ years leading complex mergers and acquisitions, enterprise integration, program management, strategic transformation, or management consulting for large, matrixed organizations.

·       Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy Services, Oilfield Equipment Manufacturing, Industrial Manufacturing, Utilities, Midstream, Downstream is strongly preferred.

·       Ability to understand complex business operations, identify integration risks and dependencies, set executive priorities, bring structure to ambiguous environments, meet aggressive timelines, and translate strategic acquisition objectives into actionable plans.

·       Develop and maintain integrated project plans, executive dashboards, governance frameworks, RAID logs, milestone trackers, dependency registers, executive scorecards, and portfolio reporting for complex enterprise programs.

·       Lead organizational change initiatives including executive communications, stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, employee transition planning, training coordination, business adoption, and change reinforcement.

·       Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Planview, SharePoint, and other enterprise project management platforms.

·       Experience developing executive dashboards and reporting analytics using Power BI or comparable business intelligence platforms is preferred.

·       Experience operating within SOX-compliant, publicly traded, or regulated business environments is preferred.

Education/Certifications

·       Bachelor's degree required.

·       Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred.

·       Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.

·       Prosci Change Management, Lean Six Sigma, Agile or related professional certifications is preferred. Formal training or certification in mergers and acquisitions, integration management, corporate development, enterprise transformation, or strategic management is helpful.

Compensation

Sand Cherry Associates is required by Colorado law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a 9+ month consulting opportunity with an annual salary range of $120,000-$150,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
