Summary: 

The Production Technical Specialist – Pre/Post-Press is responsible for the technical efficiency, maintenance,

and process integrity of all pre-press and post-press operations. This position ensures equipment reliability,

screen and ink quality, and workflow accuracy across imaging, reclaim, ink mixing, and finishing. The role works

closely with production and quality teams to ensure consistent output that meets company standards.  

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Oversee daily technical operations for screen imaging, coating, reclaiming, and ink mixing.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate all pre/post-press equipment, including imaging units, dryers, washout booths, and mixers.
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all pre/post-press assets.
  • Support production staff through hands-on training and guidance on best practices.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and material issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Ensure proper ink formulation, labeling, and storage procedures are followed.
  • Partner with the Quality Control department to monitor and uphold color and registration standards.
  • Collaborate with the Production Personnel Manager to align staffing, workflow, and training plans.
  • Drive process improvements that enhance quality, safety, and production efficiency
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of experience in screen printing pre-press, post-press, or ink department operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of screen reclaiming, coating, imaging, and ink systems.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to train others effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining production excellence.

 PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, push, and pull in varied conditions.
  • Must be able to work in environments with variable noise, dust, heat, or cold.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 40 pounds
  • Be one of the internal auditors of compliance with the safety policy and correct use of PPE.
  • Must comply with all safety, sanitation, and health protocols including use of PPE when required
