Socomec NAM (NAM) is Socomec’s organization overseeing all operations in North America. It includes 2 industrial sites and Socomec Inc. (SAM), the sales organization and Powersmiths USA (sales and service).

About This Role

The role is responsible for defining, planning and implementing product marketing strategies through effective and efficient marketing and communications activities in line with the business strategies for the managed portfolio and within the assigned regional perimeter of North America.
 

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

 • Develop deep expertise in the managed product portfolio (Transfer Switch Equipment), including features, competitive positioning, price positioning and market needs.

• Conduct comprehensive market analyses, including competitor evaluations, market potentials, and customer requirements, to define product development roadmaps, sales action plans and strategies.

• Act of the voice of the customer by advocating for the development of new products, new product features and portfolio expansion opportunities.

• Represent the company in regional standardization forums and committees as applicable.

• Lead product launches to maximize market impact and manage the local Product Life Cycle in alignment with the defined strategy.

• Execute effective marketing mix strategies (4Ps) and drive promotional campaigns to increase market share and brand awareness.

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track market share and profitability, collaborating with regional pricing teams to optimize pricing strategies.

Provide insights and inputs to shape sales strategies, annual budgets, and actionable business plans.

Deliver training to the salesforce to ensure thorough product and application knowledge and support customer-facing teams during critical tenders, projects, and training sessions.

Drive lead generation efforts and collaborate with marketing teams to optimize marketing content and initiatives.

Support sales and regional functions to enhance cross-selling, up-selling, and specification efforts, contributing to improved business performance.

Assist Supply Chain and Sales teams with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Lead localization projects by identifying targets, analyzing business plans, and defining goals.

Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering

Strong understanding of electrical power distribution systems, including low-voltage switchgear and transfer switching equipment.

Understanding of mission-critical power applications serving data centers, industrial, and commercial facilities.

Familiarity with North American electrical standards and codes, including UL, CSA, NEC, NFPA, and relevant industry practices.

Strong proficiency in market analysis, competitive intelligence, product value proposals and go-to-market development.

Exceptional communication, collaboration and networking skills to work effectively across diverse teams and regions to achieve goals.

Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, channel partners, and marketing.

Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to be cable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Creative mindset to contribute to the development of innovative marketing initiatives.

Outstanding presentation and influencing skills, capable of effectively conveying ideas to diverse audiences.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years minimum of experience in product marketing, product management, application engineering or technical sales within the electrical power distribution industry.

Experience with transfer switch equipment (ATS, MTS, STS).

Experience in mission-critical power distribution.

Strong understanding of electrical power industry sales channels (distributor, OEM & panel builders, EPC, contractors, engineering firms etc.) with ability to develop targeted value propositions and go-to-market strategies for each audience.

• Valid passport for international travel and willingness to travel as needed.

• Available for domestic travel.

Compensation range: $85,000 – $95,000 USD
