Product Owner, P&C Policy & Commercial Underwriting
Remote – United States
Shape the Future of P&C Policy Administration and Commercial Underwriting
At Majesco, we are transforming the future of insurance technology. Our mission is to connect people and businesses to insurance in ways that are innovative, hyper-relevant, compelling, and personal.
We are looking for a Product Owner, P&C Policy & Commercial Underwriting to own the backlog and roadmap across two foundational capabilities of the Majesco P&C platform: Policy lifecycle, from quote and issuance through endorsement and renewal, and Commercial Underwriting, including submission, risk evaluation, and AI-assisted decisioning.
This role combines deep P&C insurance expertise with product ownership discipline. You will shape how policy and underwriting capabilities work together while helping advance Agentic AI capabilities that support underwriters in risk selection, triage, and decisioning.
If you have experience with commercial underwriting operations, policy administration systems, and/or AI-assisted underwriting decisioning and want to shape two of the most complex areas of a P&C insurance platform, this role offers that opportunity.
Why This Role Matters
Commercial & specialty underwriting and policy administration sit at the center of the P&C insurance lifecycle. This role brings them together under a coherent product direction, creating opportunities to modernize workflows, strengthen decision support, and improve how insurers manage risk.
You will define priorities across policy issuance, endorsement, and commercial and specialty underwriting risk evaluation while shaping how AI can assist underwriters throughout the decision process.
What You Will Do
- Own and prioritize the roadmap and backlog for submission, quoting, issuance, endorsement, and UW risk evaluation.
- Lead with AI and define underwriting configuration requirements across risk evaluation rules, workflows, authority levels, referrals, and decision logic.
- Define the AI use cases and guide the design of Agentic AI underwriting capabilities that assist underwriters with risk selection, triage, and decision support.
- Lead day-to-day Policy backlog execution and prioritization while partnering with engineering and architecture to translate underwriting and policy workflows into scalable platform capabilities.
- Define integration requirements with third-party underwriting data providers, including property data, financial data, and risk intelligence platforms.
- Validate delivered functionality with QA and business stakeholders and collaborate with our customer and prospects (insurers, MGAs) and implementation teams to identify modernization opportunities across both product lines.
What You Bring
- 8 plus years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Functional Leadership within P&C insurance technology, with direct exposure to both policy administration and commercial underwriting.
- Hands-on experience at a P&C carrier, insurance software vendor, or both.
- Strong understanding of commercial underwriting processes, including risk triage, evaluation and decision support, referral and authority workflows, broker interactions, and policy issuance and endorsement.
- Experience managing or mentoring a Product Owner or Business Analyst.
- Experience with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Aha!, or similar platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across underwriting, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Technology, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.
Why Join Majesco

You will join a rapidly growing and dynamic organization where priorities evolve alongside the platform. If you are passionate about P&C insurance technology and want to shape product ownership across Policy, Commercial Underwriting, and emerging AI-assisted decisioning capabilities, we would like to meet you.
