Upwind is the Cloud and AI security platform. Upwind uses the context of your cloud workloads, APIs, and agents and gives security, development, and DevOps teams the ability to fix the most critical risks and reachable exposures proactively while catching attacks in real time.
With Upwind, you understand how your cloud and AI are connected, and what data each workload can reach. You can then trace each finding back to the code that introduced it so you know who owns the fix and where to make it. And, with specialized AI Agents that autonomously identify, investigate, and suggest remediation of issues, Upwind is reshaping Cybersecurity.
To help fulfill this mission, we’re hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own how our story lands with customers. You’ll sharpen our story for the industries we sell into, the personas who buy, and the deals our team is running right now. This is a field-facing role for someone who sits closer to sellers than to slides, who understands how a security buyer in financial services thinks differently from one in healthcare or SaaS, and who turns that understanding into messaging, assets, and sales content the field actually uses. You will be the product marketing voice closest to the buyer, reporting to the Head of Product Marketing and work daily with Product, Sales, Sales Architects, and Customer Success.
What You'll Do
- Own industry and persona depth. Build the use cases, messaging, and proof points for the industries we sell into, and sharpen the global narrative for the buyers and regulatory contexts in each one.
- Make the story repeatable across sales. Partner with Sales Enablement to deliver the product marketing content inside their program: talk tracks, pitch narratives, objection handling, and the proof reps need. Measure whether reps actually use it, and fix the message when they do not.
- Support live deals. Competitive escalations, positioning, objection handling, and customer conversations when a deal needs a market expert in the room.
- Own the field-facing competitive layer. Battlecards, talk tracks, and discovery questions that reflect what is actually deciding deals, built from win/loss and from time spent in the field.
- Build customer proof. Case studies, use cases, references, and the evidence layer that makes our claims credible to a skeptical buyer.
- Be the voice of the field. Carry objections, loss reasons, and buyer language back into positioning and product, and sign off on field readiness before a launch ships.
- 5 or more years in product marketing, technical marketing, industry marketing, or consultant at an enterprise SaaS company, ideally in cybersecurity or cloud infrastructure.
- Experience making messaging stick with a sales team. You have watched reps use your material in a live call and rewritten it when it did not land.
- Competitive instinct in a displacement motion. You know how to shift the criteria a buyer evaluates on rather than answering someone else's checklist.
- Industry fluency, or the appetite to build it fast. You can learn what a CISO in a regulated industry cares about and why it differs from a cloud-native company.
- Strong writing. You can produce something a rep will use on a live call, which is a different craft from writing something that reads well.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technology such as Kubernetes, containers, APIs, IAM, vulnerability management, runtime security, CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, AI security, or related domains. You do not need to be an engineer, but you need to hold your own with one.
- A hands-on execution mindset. You write the one-pager, run the session, and join the call.
- Comfort with ambiguity and speed. We ship fast, the messaging evolves with the product, and you will help define this function rather than inherit it.
