About us

Alpha is a product studio focused on the intersection of AI and consumer social – backed by a16z and many of the top investors in the world. Our goal is to create social products that we use, that our friends use, and that have the potential to reach billions of people.

Clubhouse was our first app, and we’ve been quietly growing that while building our next set of products. We have years of runway, millions of users, and find ourselves at a very interesting time, where AI is making entirely new things possible with voice.

If you are a talented builder who’s interested in joining us, we’d love to talk.

The role

We’re looking for a versatile consumer marketer to help shape how Clubhouse connects with and grows its communities. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes operating across boundaries. You’ll work across community, product marketing, content, and user insights—developing creative ways to reach people, make them care about Clubhouse, and use the latest technologies to build systems at scale.

We are a remote-friendly company — with a strong commitment to ensuring people can do great work here and thrive without having to live near an office. This role is open to candidates across the U.S.

Who you are
  • You’re an experienced consumer marketer. You understand users, communities, messaging, product, and how consumer products grow. You’re creative about finding ways to reach people and make them care.

  • You act like an owner. You’re comfortable taking an ambiguous problem, figuring out what it requires, and owning it. You dig beneath the surface, develop opinions, and bring ideas rather than waiting for direction.

  • You’re fast and versatile. You can move quickly across very different kinds of work, run programs solo, and are comfortable operating outside a narrowly defined lane.

  • You have strong judgment. You can make sense of messy qualitative and quantitative information, identify what matters, and develop a clear point of view.

  • You’re an AI-forward builder. You don’t just use AI as a thought partner or productivity tool—you use tools like Claude Code and Codex to build agents, automations, and systems that make you dramatically more effective.

What you will do
  • You’ll help Clubhouse grow and strengthen its communities and hosts. You’ll develop and run programs across host activation and community growth—and invent new ways to make people love Clubhouse.

  • You’ll own product marketing and user communications. You’ll partner closely with Product to launch new features, develop messaging, and build scalable ways to keep our users informed and engaged.

  • You’ll surface and amplify the best of Clubhouse. You’ll find creative ways to help great hosts, conversations, and new product experiences reach more people.

  • You’ll own the voice of the user. You’ll build systems to continuously understand what our communities want, what’s working, what’s broken, and what they need next—and use those insights to help shape our product and marketing strategy.

  • You’ll create something meaningful. Clubhouse brings people together through conversation and community. You’ll help shape how we serve those communities, reach new ones, and build a product that people genuinely love.

Our company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or make any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities in our job application procedures.
