At Render, we're dedicated to building a powerful and user-friendly cloud that simplifies hosting for every developer and team. Our platform supports a wide range of applications, from simple static sites to complex multi-service architectures. By offering the flexibility of traditional cloud providers without their associated complexity and maintenance challenges, we enable our users to concentrate on product development instead of managing servers.

Our team is a diverse and talented group addressing universal challenges of software development. We prioritize rapid iteration while maintaining a strong focus on user experience, craft, and reliability. This commitment drives us to improve continually. Our organic, product-led growth has attracted over 2.5 million developers, with rapid growth of new developers signing up every month. Our customers trust Render for our reliable and scalable cloud with enterprise-grade capabilities, fully managed datastores, and advanced security and compliance features.

In January 2025, we reached a significant milestone by raising $80 million in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $157M. This investment enables us to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive, while catering to the evolving needs of the AI era.

Applying to Render:

We're looking for candidates with high integrity, low ego, and an insatiable drive to learn. We use reasoned discussion and constant feedback to improve as individuals and as a company. We cultivate mutual trust and respect, empowering us to debate ideas effectively and create the best outcomes for our customers and our team.

We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.

Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.

About the Role:

At Render, you’ll lead the Growth product team in close partnership with Marketing, Developer Relations, and Engineering to accelerate and scale our product-led growth motion. You’ll run a high-velocity, experiment-driven team that rigorously tests and iterates on winning hypotheses. Your deep understanding of the customer funnel, combined with creativity and strong analytical instincts, will help identify and unlock high-leverage opportunities to drive growth. You’ll also work closely with core product teams to promote adoption of new offerings and act as the voice of the first-time user, shaping product and go-to-market decisions across the organization.

We’re looking for someone who has:
  • 10+ years of experience in a Product Management role, with most of that time working on Growth teams or similar at a product-led growth company.

  • A love of high-quality, well-crafted user experiences and strong intuition for developer tools.

  • Ability to leverage data and qualitative insights to develop strong hypotheses and excellent collaboration skills to translate hypotheses into winning experiments.

  • Exceptional communication skills across writing and conversation.

  • Demonstrated track record in tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into clear outcomes.

  • Ability to be generative and creative when coming up with new ways to support developers as they're getting started on a new platform.

Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience working on pricing and packaging at a SaaS or developer tools company.

  • Experience as a developer professionally or a technical background.

Some projects you might work on:
  • Leveraging creativity and insights to help first-time users evaluate Render more fully and efficiently for their use case.

  • Identify blockers to learning how Render works and build in-product solutions to accelerate developers' onboarding.

  • Developing a deeper understanding of our customers and sharing this knowledge broadly with the organization to influence Product and Go-to-Market decisions.

  • Optimizing Render's free tier to improve conversion.

  • Collaborating with Developer Relations and Marketing to build a coherent and integrated first-time user experience across the marketing site, email, and product.

Benefits
  • Our openings span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $212,000 and $290,000 USD. The provided salary depends on many factors, such as work experience and transferable skills, business needs and impact, and market demands.

  • The opportunity is also eligible for equity with early exercise options and extended exercise windows.

  • 4 weeks of paid vacation, available from day one.

  • 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.

  • Long-term disability, life insurance, and 401K plans.

  • 100% employer-paid medical coverage and 99% employer-paid dental and vision coverage for you and a dependent. FSAs available as well.

  • Monthly lifestyle stipend for wellness, mental heath and therapy, hobbies, etc.

  • Monthly cell phone and internet subsidy.

  • Commuter benefits for Renders in the Bay Area, and home office stipends for remote Renders.

  • Continuous learning benefits & related support.
